Your Fundraising Guide Thank you for signing up for Coffee Morning Month this November. We really appreciate your support, especially given the challenges COVID-19 continues to bring to all our lives. We want to make it as easy and safe as possible for you to support us in a way that works for you, your family and friends, as you fundraise for Myeloma UK. So this year we’re asking you to get creative during Coffee Morning Month and do it Your Way! We appreciate government guidelines are changing all the time and understand that this year will be very different to your usual coffee morning plans. Hopefully in November you will be able to get together, even in small numbers, to have a socially distanced coffee morning, but if not here are a few other suggestions: • Go virtual. It’s a great excuse for an online catch-up over a cuppa. Reconnect with friends that you’ve not seen in a while or catch up with family over zoom. • Go outdoors. What about getting out and about; go for a walk in the fresh air with your thermos flask, cakes and some good company. • Go without for a week. You could simply ask your friends and family to donate the money they would usually spend on take-away coffee – it’s amazing how much we spend on coffee to go! Every penny raised during Coffee Morning Month will help us to continue providing essential information and support for myeloma patients, family and carers. It will contribute to our work in improving standards of treatment and care through research, education and awareness raising. Help spread the word on social media by sharing your photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #CoffeeMorningMonth. You can also find some social media assets on our website: myeloma.org.uk/coffee. If you would like to get in touch to share your ideas or have any questions, you can reach me on 0131 557 3332 or email coffee@myeloma.org.uk. I wish you every success with fundraising plans this Coffee Morning Month and look forward to hearing how you get on.
