Great to see Ms Hyatt’s class taking a leap of health and getting active with skipping ropes. There’s probably no better way to increase coordination and movement through jump rope activities. So good to see children!
ALDGATE FENCING Our inaugural fencing team last week received their fencing kits and don’t they look the part. They are starting to get the moves too! SEESAW NOTIFICATIONS Unfortunately, a few of our sports enquiries on Seesaw haven’t been identified due to staff members not receiving notifications from the platform. If you do have any queries regarding school sport and you haven’t received an answer through Seesaw within 24 hours – can you please ring the school and leave a message at the front office so that we can get back to you regarding your query. ALDGATE VIRTUAL CROSS COUNTRY Our Virtual Cross Country was another outstanding success in 2021. Congratulations to all of our children who demonstrated resilience and pushed themselves over the long distance race during our PE sessions last week. We had many great individual achievements and it was very satisfying to see our children trying their hardest. We had many children run more than they were required, completing the requirements of the next category up. Certificates for each participant will be distributed towards the end of the term. Thank you children for committing yourselves to our PE program at Aldgate Primary School and giving endurance running a go – it’s not that bad after all and we have some outstanding runners waiting in the wings in our young age groups. Our Yr 6/7 classes are yet to run and they will catch up with the rest of the school in the coming weeks. Children ran in these categories: Year of Birth Distance Year of Birth Distance Year of Birth Distance 2016 500 metres 2015 750 metres 2014 1000 metres 2013 1500 metres 2012 1500 metres 2011 2000 metres 2010 3000 metres 2009 3000 metres 2008 3000 metres
