Medicated bandages Viscopaste PB7 Zinc paste bandage, can be used for chronic eczema/dermatitis. Zinc paste and ichthammol bandage can be used for chronic Icthopaste eczema/dermatitis. Retention bandage (Not to be used on lower limbs) Knit-Band Lightweight knitted retention bandage. Bandages K-Soft An absorbent, non woven, sub bandage wadding, latex free. Compression bandages Cohesive, inelastic (short-stretch) bandage. Treatment and management of Actico venous leg ulcers, lymphoedema and chronic oedema. Suitable for mobile and immobile patients with an ABPI of 0.8-1.3. White knitted fabric type 3a compression bandage consisting of viscose, nylon and elastomeric yarn an extensible bandage donating up to 20 mmHg of sub K-Plus bandage pressure at the ankle. Tubular bandage Clinifast Elasticated viscose stockinette. Emollients and soap substitutes (Please be mindful of fire risk of these products containing paraffin) QV Gentle Wash Soap-free wash containing glycerol 15 per cent, pH balanced. Contains glycerol 10 per cent, light paraffin 10 per cent and white QV Cream soft paraffin 5 per cent (E45 equivalent). An emollient containing liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin, Zeroderm Ointment (Epaderm equivalent). Zerobase Zerobase cream contains liquid paraffin. (Diprobase equivalent). SLS-free gel containing 30 per cent emollient and 10 per cent glycerol Zerodouble Gel (humectant) (Doublebase equivalent). Fragrance free emollient cream with natural oatmeal Zeroveen (Aveeno equivalent). Emollient containing 50 per cent white soft paran and 50 per cent Fifty:50 white liquid paraffin. Barrier creams/skin protectors Must be used in line with the following recommendations: • Moisture associated skin damage (MASD) pathway A • Incontinence associated dermititis (IAD) pathway B Cavilon No Sting Protective transparent barrier film for peri-wound skin, alcohol free, Barrier Film (see pathways A and B). Cavilon Durable Highly concentrated barrier cream to protect against bodily fluids, Barrier Cream (see pathway B). Proshield Plus Skin To be used on severe skin breakdown (see pathway B). Protectant Proshield Foam and To be used on severe skin breakdown (see pathway B). Spray Cleanser Only use if there is persistant diarrhoea.
