An ethnic wear collection of 4 garments were designed for Reliance
Trends Ltd. keeping in mind the aesthetics of the brand. Explorations
weredone on silhouettes and prints to achieve this. The concept of the
collection is taken from the grandeur and splendor of Indian festivals.
The colors, and sillhouettes for the collection is derived from the AW
20/21 forecast. Indian floral prints were studied to derive the floral
prints for the collection.

This Spring / Summer collection titled “ Pause “ has vivid and bright
colors incorporated in it which enhanced the overall aesthetic and feel of
the range. Certain minute details such as pin tucks, gathers, pleats and
French knot embroidery was achieved along with easy and comfortable
silhouttes which resulted it being cohesive with each other. The collection
is inclusive of all shapes as well as sizes and was designed for the women
of the society who are empowered.
Final deliverables : Construction of three final ensembles along with
digital illustrations and a final walk through with a documentation and Graduation

sustainable wardrobe.
Final deliverables: Total of Six ensembles with a conscious philosphy
that can turn any moment into a special occasion. Be it your daily office

The process started by a detailed research on the topic, then deciding the
client, mood, then conducting a trend study. Different events happened
during that time are depicted through different surface and silhouette
detailing. Different emotions from the theme are conveyed through the
selection of different colors. The color travels from dusky tones to cool
tones from each garment. The windows showing hope, the people, the
fisherman, the layers of water, etc. are depicted in the designs through
applique work and detailing. Usage of Pleats, Ruffles and Textures
helps to create the mood. Sustainable closures are used throughout the

A greenhouse bloomed with many beautiful and vibrant flowers is a
spellbinding scenery. The transparent glasshouse also gives a classy,
vintage atmosphere or emotions. When the sunlight passes through
the glossy glasses of the greenhouse, the reflections create some
interesting lines and patterns on the flowers and leaves.
The collection is mainly inspired from interesting patterns of
glasshouse and some elegant and splendid flowers of autumn, winter
season, mainly - “Anemone flower, Aster flower and Baby’s breath”.
The soothing colour palette of the collection is taken from the fashion
forecaste for autumn/winter colour trends 20-21.

pleating is used to incorporate some of the shapes ,surface and

could only be saved by what is traditionally considered a feminine
practice of healing and nurturing.
The Collection takes its inspiration from Lichens - a symbiotic organism,
which helped in the further development of surface detailings. These
organisms have strong bond with their growing surface, and hence
one can find out unusual seams on the garments using hooks and
eyes which is the main feature. The surface detailing on the garments
are done using sheer fabrics to bring out the tenderness of feminine
nature. Textures made are using various technologies and yarn-pulling,

This is a womenswear collection which comprises of three garments
constructed using scrap fabrics collected from nearby tailors and
handloom fabrics dyed using natural and organic methods. The
inspiration is derived from, Sisu; a unique Finnish concept that means
to transform barriers into frontiers which compliments the survival
instinct of being human; “adaptation”. This along with the well known
quote “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”-Neil
Armstrong, that when read from a different perspective can be put to
compliment the butterfly effect, ‘a concept imagined with a butterfly
flapping its wings and causing a typhoon’. A step towards ethical living
can create a greater impact.

Switch any piece with the other and fix! The project focuses on 2R’s
(reduce and reuse).The basic idea of design process started with the
idea of exploring ways of wearing a garment and make it reusable,
continued with research and small developments , achieved from
breaking down different silhouttes to form different shapes , reshaping

Italy. It focuses on casual yet energetic and zestful ready-to-wear
garments. To explore the possibilities from the streets, and incorporate
slight elemental features of activewear in the casual wear, basically
making the garments much more functional than ever. Prudently
designed casual clothing, that can either be teamed up as coordinates
or otherwise separates. Vibrant, multi-coloured buildings right at the
banks of the canals gives a cheerful, and enthusiastic mood for the
collection. The blocky nature of the buildings, with ample of contrasting
coloured windows, inspires our collection, and encourages us to play
more with the positioning of variety of pockets and to create boxy
design. Usage of fancy eye-catching zippers, and construction of loose

collection of seven ensembles. The monarchy acts as a focus for the

are casual involving the aesthetics of the architecture. The colour
palette chosen for the collection is dark and intense taken from the
gothic architecture.
The design process of the collection involved extensive research,
developing boards, patterns samples and muslin fits. During the
process the garments have been developed using virtual software’s
like Clo3d, Adobe Dimensions, Vray to check the fitting and the final
look of the ensembles.
During these unpredictable times, where many changes are being taken
in fashion industry, I have developed a virtual graduation collection Graduation

The design process was inclusive of research, ideation, and

to design travel-friendly multipurpose, comfortable clothing, perfect for
summers. The basic ideology was to design clothing that can be styled
in several ways, has a lot of breathing space, and pockets, a perfect
package of all things comfy. The colour palette of the collection is
predominantly earthy shades, with minimal prints. Made in Mul cotton
and dipped in azo-free dyes, this collection is completely eco friendly
and biodegradable.
Methodology: the basic outline of the design process was inclusive
of the design process, silhouette development, print development,
finalising designs and photoshoot.
Final deliverables: A collection of 5 garments were developed under Graduation

gain mass acceptance in giving designs a feel-good quality. This
wholesome story also ties in with the overarching influence of the
wellness movement. With the rise of farm-to-table dining and vegan
lifestyles, these organic fruit prints will appeal to parents with a health-
conscious mindset. The clothing comes in simple patterns, solid colors
and all over prints so it won’t go out of style. The cloths are also quite
comfortable.
Trends were studied in order to analyse what is selling in the market
and what designs would go with the brand psychology and cater to
the needs of the target customers. Various social media platforms and

the collection is cricket, the silhouettes are more sportive and cricket
materials used as prints and embroidery.icecream bowl is taken as
theme, colors are taken from that. Mood of the collection is active and
joyful. Collection is targeting for boys age group of 3-5 years.
INSPIRATION : Sports, cricket is the inspiration for the collection,

This concept was derived from the mix of kanjivaram motifs and Islamic Sumaiya Musthafa

reveals the rich histories of the patterns, drawing from sources beyond

textiles. Apart from using motifs on the body of a sari, weavers also sumaiyamusthafa
use a number of geometric patterns to break the monotony of a single
colour. Checks (kattam), diagonal lines (vari), circular forms (buttis)
and other shapes are used to enhance the background to the motif
embellishment. Islamic art is often characterized by recurring motifs,
such as the use of geometrical floral or vegetal design in a repetition
known as the arabesque. The motifs were created from the inspiration
where the style of kanjivaram motif weave were taken and converted in
form of prints.
The colors, and sillhouettes for the collection is derived from the SS
20/21 forecast. Indian floral prints were studied to derive the floral

trendy and classy casual wear for working women.
Design process in Ajio starts with planning and buying. Then a huge
amount of research is done online which includes research done on
WGSN, and other trend forecasting websites. After this, a concept is
prepared, which includes a vague idea of the concept, which is ‘Urban
Tribe’. Urban tribe is driven by an increasingly globalised street culture,
as cities interconnect to create an undiscovered beauty of design. Prints
and graphics take on a mix-and-match look, celebrating traditional
craft from multiple cities, tribes and cultures. The result is youthful and
offbeat, perfect for the winter transitional retail drop.

The design process was done following the Easybuy process. Initially a
market research was done by both online and offline. A concept was
selected based on the wide theme; Road trip, which was taken for the
brand by the team. The concept chosen is ‘Into the forest’ giving the
garments comfort and an effortless style with independence, freedom
and travelling which often leads to beautiful destinations.. After the
concept was approved by the department head and then the initial
sketches were done leading to the final documentation.

The classic and minimalistic silhouettes enhance the print patterns
which create a bold statement with the bright colors and the print on
print ensembles.
The objective of designing this collection was to tell these stories
through the prints in an effortless way recreating that nostalgia, of the
endless Indian summer.
