We celebrate the birth of our Savior with a variety of activities merged! On September 5th the Bishop and Cabinet voted to merge our two congregations. Welcome Corey DeRossett as our new Director of Student Ministry! FALL RUMMAGE SALE CAPITAL The UMW Fall Rummage Sale is Friday, October 11, 9 am-6 pm and Saturday, October 12, 9 am-1 pm. We need your help getting set up for CAMPAIGN the sale, October 6-9, and cleanup on October 12. Check the link on our website to find the days/times that work best for you! We have completed the three year period since approval. JINGLE BELL FAIR Actual Revenues from pledges through 8/31/19 are $2,280,000. That is $80,000 above $2,200,000 (original estimated amount). Get your holiday shopping done early. The Jingle Bell Fair is Saturday, November 9, 9 am- 3 pm. Vendors will be bringing interesting items to complete your Christmas shopping list. The ultimate financial success will be dependent on a future capital campaign to pay off the remaining $1,354,000 of the loan. The timing of that campaign is currently under review. In addition to our monthly programs, we have circles which are smaller groups that meet monthly nine months of the year for fellowship, prayer and study. Every two years the circles are AMEN ACTIVITIES (Anderson Methodist Elder Network) reformed to offer the chance to meet new women. Celebrating our history in 2020! September 2020 will kick-off a series of celebrations at Anderson Hills UMC as we celebrate the heritage Fresh Expressions is continuing to grow! Pastor Jonathan is forming a team of servants to begin a of our Church and the legacy left by all who have worshipped Jesus Christ at AHUMC. We will begin with worship service at the Anthology of Anderson Township. As our church looks ahead to make plans for 2020, I am excited to look back on what we have already accomplished in 2019. We have been serving others both near and far, from hosting community dinners in Mt. Washington to building houses for under-resourced families in Jamaica. Additionally, we recently merged with Salem Community Church. We also continue to faithfully serve our congregation through our worship services, children’s ministries, Bible studies, NEW BOOKS IN THE CHURCH LIBRARY RESOURCE ROOM Stephen Ministry, and more.
