2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS 5.0 OPERATIONS 5.1 Artificial Noisemakers All forms of artificial noisemakers are prohibited in Eagle Stadium. In-stadium sound systems, public address announcements, and any music are prohibited when the ball is live or being made ready for play. 5.2 Automatic Bid & Format The Cal Pac has two direct qualification berths to the NAIA women’s soccer championships. In spring 2021, the two bids shall be determined via the conference tournament. The two teams advancing to the championship game shall advance to the NAIA nationals. The teams for the tournament shall be chosen and seeded by a selection team of administrators and coaches whose teams are not involved in the tournament, either by non- participation or divisional standing. The selections shall be ultimately approved by the commissioner and the conference management council. 5.3 Awards Banquet Due to COVID-19 impacts, there will be no awards banquet for the 2021 championships. 5.4 Balls The Select Super Touch is the official ball of the Cal Pac championships. A five-ball system shall be employed with a minimum of four (4) ball-shaggers to facilitate play. 5.5 Banners & Signs Only approved banners and signage may be displayed in the arena. The tournament manager is authorized to approve, limit, or restrict any team signage regarding appearance and content. No commercial identification may appear on any team signage. The host shall display all assigned Cal Pac signage. 5.6 Bench Assignments The team with the better seed shall be the home team and shall occupy the bench to the left of the scorer’s table when facing the field (closest to the scoreboard). 5.7 Cancellation of Tournament If the tournament is not completed, the NAIA automatic bid shall be awarded to the team which has progressed furthest through the conference tournament and has the higher mRPI rating. 5.8 Champions of Character / Project Each team shall name a team Champion of Character recipient who will be honored at the awards reception. The deadline for submission is November 7, 2021. Every Cal Pac member will serve the community during its final home game by collecting non- perishable items for its local food bank. The Cal Pac championships will also serve as a food bank collection event, with discounts provided to those donating food items. 6
2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS 5.9 Coaches Zoom Conference - Mandatory A conference call will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021, to review tournament procedures, rules and policies. Participation is mandatory for the head coach and a designated administrator of each participating institution. The Zoom link will be sent to the qualifying schools, and is posted in this documents schedule. 5.10 COVID Testing & Screening Procedures * Teams must present confirmation of a negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to departing for the event for any unvaccinated individuals. * Teams shall be screened by the host sports medicine personnel upon arrival at the facility for any practice or competition. No participant shall proceed to any team or competition area without a negative screening result. * All team personnel are to stay away from spectator areas after the screening process. See Appendix 3 for specific La Sierra University on-campus protocols. 5.11 Credentials & Event Access Access to the event shall be via the official championships participant list. No tournament credentials will be provided. Individuals shall wear appropriate team attire to designate their access, and may be randomly checked against the official lists and only those individuals included on the official participant list may enter with the team party. 5.12 Drug Testing Consent Participating institutions shall assure that each student-athlete has signed a valid NAIA drug testing consent form prior to the beginning of tournament play. Institutions must verify compliance prior to competition. 5.13 Game Times & Pairings Day 1: Game 1 - #4 Seed vs. #5 Seed; Game 2 - #3 Seed vs. #6 Seed Day 2: Game 3 – G1 Winner vs. #1 Seed; Game 4 – G2 Winner vs. #2 Seed Day 3: Off Day – Possible service project if permitted Day 4 - Championship 5.14 Games Committee The Games Committee shall consist of a Cal Pac Conference representative, the facility/tournament manager, and the conference officials’ supervisor or the referee crew chief. The commissioner may serve on the games committee in absentia. 5.15 Home Team Designation The team with the better seed shall be the home team in all contests. However, La Sierra shall occupy its normal bench area and scoreboard designation in its contests. 5.16 Hotels All teams are responsible for their own accommodation arrangements. 7
2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS 5.17 Laundry Teams are responsible for their own laundry during the event. 5.18 Locker & Team Rooms Teams will be assigned a designated area on campus for use prior to their contest. LSU will assign those team areas and clearly mark them with signage. Teams will have a designated tented area at the field for their gear during their game. 5.19 Media & Sports Information The SID contact at La Sierra is Brianne Talboom (btalboom@lasierra.edu). Each institution’s SID shall provide appropriate and updated photos and biographical information to the host SID. Updated and accurate rosters shall include pronunciation guides. 5.20 Medical & Training Procedures The sports medicine department is located in the Alumni Pavilion Annex and will be open two (2) hours prior to the start of the first contest. Sports medicine personnel will be available to assist visiting team trainers. For specific support and needs, make prior arrangements by contacting Brian Murphy at (951-490-2366). 5.21 Merchandise The Cal Pac retains exclusive rights to souvenir products for the championships. Institutions may not sell their own products during the tournament at the contest site. 5.22 Meeting, Mandatory: Coach / Administrator A mandatory pre-championships video call shall take place on Sunday, November 7. The head coach and an administrator from each qualifying team are required to participate. See the event calendar for connection information. 5.23 National Anthem The national anthem shall be played or performed prior to the first contest of each day of the tournament. 5.24 Officials NAIA certified officials shall be assigned by the regional Cal Pac soccer officials supervisor, and shall be arranged and paid for by the host institution. 5.25 Parking Soccer team vehicles shall park in Lot M adjacent to the competition field. 5.26 Participant Lists Per NAIA postseason policy, teams shall be limited to a maximum of 24 players in uniform plus a maximum of 6 coaches/bench personnel. A maximum of two (2) Certified Athletic Trainer(s), one (1) Sports information staff member, and the Director of Athletics may also be credentialed, but will not count against the team limit. The official participant list must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, to both the Cal Pac office and the host institution’s tournament director. 8
2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS 5.27 Pass Lists There are no team pass lists for the tournament. 5.28 Player Introductions The starters for both teams shall be introduced in numerical order. Both teams shall follow the game officials onto the field and face the crowd on opposite sides of the midfield line, in front of their respective benches. The visiting team shall be introduced first. 5.29 Post-Game Procedures Teams in the first contest shall immediately clear the playing surface and bench area to provide access for the next contest. Teams have (15 minutes) to vacate the team area after each contest. 5.30 Practice Times Teams shall have a one-hour practice time on the tournament field on the day prior to their competition. Walk-through practices on Saturday will be at an alternate site. Time slots shall be assigned by the conference based on seed and travel schedule, and will be confirmed during the qualifiers Zoom conference. Teams will be given 30 minutes of warm-up time on the competition field prior to each match. 2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS 5.31 Sportsmanship / Values Statement The official Cal Pac statement of values shall be read prior to each tournament match as part of the pre-game introductions by student-athletes representing each competing school. 5.32 Spectators – Vaccination Required Spectators are permitted, however COVID vaccination verification is required by LSU. 5.33 Tickets Tickets may purchased in advance via the LSU athletics ticketing website. Vaccination verification is required. https://www.lsugoldeneagles.com/hometown-ticketing Ticket prices are $10 per session ($5 for students), with discounts available online and by bringing a food pantry donation. 5.34 Tobacco No tobacco products of any kind are permitted at the tournament. Smoking, vaping, or electronic cigarettes are prohibited. 5.35 Travel Party & Participant List Teams shall have a maximum travel party of 30 individuals, made up of no more than 24 players, and six (6) coaches/bench personnel. No substitutions in the category maximums is allowed. In addition, a maximum of two (2) certified athletic trainers, one (1) sports information staff member, and one (1) athletics director (or designate) may receive additional credentials. Only these individuals shall have sideline access. Each institution must submit the official participant list (Appendix 1, or on the conference website) to the Cal Pac commissioner (dott@calpacathletics.com) by the Monday prior to the tournament (November 8, 2021). A fillable form will be sent to each participating institution’s AD via email. 5.36 Uniforms The designated home team shall wear LIGHT uniforms. The visiting team shall wear a contrasting DARK uniform. (NOTE: The regular-season guideline of alternating uniforms for travelling teams shall not apply to the league championships). 5.37 Videotaping Teams may only videotape games in which they participate. Teams must supply all their own equipment, including power supply, cables, and extension cords. 5.38 Web-Streaming All games will be streamed live on Stretch Internet with access through both the Cal Pac and LSU websites. Teams may not produce their own version of the contests for distribution. 10

Drop off, park and pick up in the same lot. § Please follow campus signage and park in designated areas only. Locker Room/Team Rooms § A specified area will be set-up for the visiting teams on campus. § Post-game showers may be made available where possible for the visiting team prior to their departure, provided the visiting team confirmed arrangements with the host 48 hrs. in advance. ○ Visiting teams must bring their own individual towels and hygiene products. Training Room Location § The ATC is located in the Alumni Pavilion Annex (behind the gym). 13
2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS Spectator Policy (subject to change) § NAIA/Cal Pac and local institutions currently are open to fans attending games with some restrictions. Spectators at La Sierra University home games must be vaccinated fully against COVID-19. To attend games, spectators will need to acquire tickets at https://www.lsugoldeneagles.com/hometown-ticketing. La Sierra University students' parents with a season pass will be asked to go through the same process. La Sierra University also expects all spectators to follow proper masking protocol and use designated seating areas. Masks will be available free of charge for those who forget to bring their own. The University's spectator capacity will be limited to 50% outdoors and 35% indoors. GAME DAY SCREENING PRIOR TO LEAVING OWN CAMPUS COVID-19 screenings shall consist of temperature checks (
2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS § Visiting ATC is responsible for screening athletes prior to arrival on campus using Clearance Verification Form (CVF) with readings taken within six (6) hours of competition or activity. § Prior to arrival, the visiting ATC will send a digital copy via email of the CVF to Host ATC for acknowledgement and approval of validity. § Host ATC will keep official records of all Clearance Verification Forms for home events. ○ Copies will be emailed to visiting ATC. If not traveling with an ATC: § CVF sent to Host ATC informing there will not be an ATC traveling with the team and that they were screened before departure. Day Trips § Visiting team ATC is responsible for symptoms and temperature checks before leaving and completing the CVF. ○ CVF emailed to host ATC prior to arrival of the visiting team. Overnight Trips § Visiting team ATC is responsible for symptoms and temprature checks before leaving and completing the CVF. ○ Departure CVF to be emailed to host ATC for the given trip. ○ Host team ATC will be responsible for screening the traveling team within six (6) hours of competition. Visiting team ATC will email a CVF with pre-filled roster/ jersey numbers to expedite process. ○ Visiting team should communicate with host ATC to receive institutional arrival protocols and pre-determine a screening time. ○ Host ATC will keep official records of all Clearance Verification Forms (CVF) for home events. ■ Copies will be emailed to visiting ATC During Competition § A proper face covering (mask) must be worn at all times indoors, by all parties, except when on the playing surface (actively competing). This mandate includes those on the bench. § Sideline towels shall be provided for the visiting team with a clean plastic bag provided for discarded soiled towels to be transported home and properly laundered. § In volleyball, teams shall not change ends between sets and shall use the same bench for the entire competition. § Teams must provide their own individual water bottles (do not share). 15

COVID-19 TESTING PRIOR TO COMPETITION § Non-vaccinated student-athletes, coaching staff, athletic event staff, officiating crew(s) and all other participating parties must be PCR tested and provide negative PCR test results within 72 hrs. of the competition. § Testing must be done within 72hrs. of competition and a negative result must be received in order to play. The CVF should reflect only those that received negative test results. ○ A “cleared” approval on the screening form shall imply the appropriate mandated testing has been completed within the prescribed time frame, with a negative result. § Visiting teams must agree to comply with the testing requirements of the host institution. § If a visiting institution has requirements more stringent than the host team, the host team shall follow the more stringent requirements in order to assure completion of the competition, per Cal Pac policy. ATHLETIC TRAINING SERVICES Athletic Training services shall be provided in the Alumni Pavilion Annex. Equipment and space is limited; please notify and request services to ATC, Brian Murphy at least 48 hrs. prior to the competition. § The ATC will be on site two (2) hours prior to competition. § If a visiting team is not traveling with an ATC and modalities are required prior to activity, a time must be scheduled 48 hrs. prior, for treatment and use of facilities, with the understanding, it shall be based on availability. § All modalities are by prescribed by the visiting institution’s ATC. Treatments dictated solely by the student-athlete will not be performed. § Student-athletes that need taping services shall provide their own supply of taping materials. § A designated sanitized taping area shall be provided for visiting team usage. 16
2021 CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS VISITING TEAM CLEARANCE VERIFICATION FORM (CVF) This form must be filled out prior to competition with La Sierra University athletics. PCR-COVID test must be done within the past 72 hrs. for those who are NOT VACCINATED and results of test must be kept on file with visiting team athletic training staff. Individual results do not need to be turned in (this document serves as a certificate that all student-athletes listed below have been either vaccinated or COVID tested (within the past 72hrs). Involved parties must self-quarantine leading up to the competition. Results must be received and the CVF should reflect only those that received negative test results. 17
