NEW to Experience Africa 2019, we will encourage approved exhibitors to create and offer Experience Africa exclusive 'deals'. Choose for your 'deal' to be displayed or be kept as ‘secret deal’ on your online profile, once appointment selection opens for buyers. 15
Important Policies at Experience Africa Help us to help you Private Functions The Experience Africa model permits buyers to attend for 1, 2 or 3 days. Each official day at Experience Africa is structured to encourage maximum buyer attendance and more supplier:buyer interaction. The official Experience Africa networking, lunches and evening events each day are therefore an important part of the experience at EA. To ensure these events are well attended and successful, we strongly discourage external supplier functions taking place when official EA events are also taking place. Experience Africa 2019 will have an official evening event on all 3 days of the show. Failure to adhere to the above policy will be recorded and taken into account when considering exhibitors’ future EA attendance. Pre and post sales calls Experience Africa works tirelessly to bring in the requisite number of qualified buyers (established and NEW) to the 3-day show. We appreciate suppliers coming from Africa occasionally like to add pre and post sales calls on to Experience Africa. We can't stop exhibitors doing this, but you should be aware that such in and around the show only serve to dilute the appetite from buyers to attend the actual show. Please bear this in mind. 16
Representation Companies EA Policy for Representation Companies To ensure appointments are beneficial for both buyers and suppliers, Experience Africa encourages that all exhibitors have at least one representative from the product on the ground. However, we fully appreciate that representation & marketing companies play a very important role in communicating and building relationships on behalf of their suppliers. Therefore, Experience Africa provides the following guidelines for representation & marketing companies attending EA on behalf of suppliers: • A maximum of 3 differently owned and operated products may be represented on one table, irrespective of additional delegates. • The exhibiting name/s, logos, websites and descriptions MUST be that of the product/s represented, NOT the Representation Company*. • Only one web address/URL will be included for the Online Catalogue displayed on the official Experience Africa website and official Experience Africa CANVAS magazine. *We may offer a table (at Standard Exhibitor table cost) branded to a Representation & Marketing Company with its own set of appointments, ONLY when such company has at least 5 of its members registered to attend with individual paid Standard Exhibitor tables. 17
