About EuPFI European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI) is a consortium working in a pre-competitive way on paediatric drug formulations. Members are from academia, hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical industry (Innovators, Generics,Contract Research Organizations (CRO), Specials and Excipient Manufacturers) with European Medicine Agency (EMA) as an observer. It aims to expedite the development of better and safer medicines for children by identifying and scoping issues and challenges in paediatric formulation development. It brings together the voluntary, academic, pharmaceutical industry, hospitals and regulatory agency in order to tackle the development of age appropriate formulation for paediatrics. All presentations (pre-recorded presentations with audio) will be available for online viewing on demand. Each live Q&A session provides options to interact with the presenter. Selected times for live interactions will apply, but questions and answers will be recorded and remain accessible one month after the conference. Watch it on demand at a later stage. Engage with others in the lounge. Choose from one-to-one interaction or pick one of the chat room based on discussion forum (check timings). You can also visit Exhibitions, Poster hall, delegates profiles and linked-in from lounge. Search for your peers based on affiliation, country or areas of interest. Connect with an individual delegate: See who is online in the networking lounge and connect with peers directly by chat or search for delegates based on their profile information. Connect with the presenter of a poster or talk: Go to the Q&A linked to the presentation and leave a note for the presenter. Presenters review and answer to the comments Connect to delegates in discussion forum: The EuPFI has newly introduced discussion forum to connect with colleagues on selected topics. It is available through networking lounge and youcan connect with delegates, either individually or as a group. Do not forget to update your profile to indicate your interest in one or more of these topics. Note, that all attendees can chat directly with others who are online in the chat rooms. You can use your computer’s search function (Cntrl F for PC or command F for Mac) to search for a specific online user in the chatrooms. Abstracts and Posters in Poster Hall 13th Conference of the European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI) Formulating better medicines for children A conference organised by the International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology in partnership with the European Paediatric Formulation Initiative 22 to 23 September 2021, Virtual Conference Abstracts: 55 The abstracts from the plenary, focus session, soap box session and poster session presentations at the 13th Annual Conference of the European Paediatric Formulation Initiative conducted as a virtual conference, from 22nd-23rd September 2021 are available on the platform for 30 days post conference. The abstracts are reproduced as submitted by the author and accepted by the Scientific Committee. They appear in order of Poster ID. Tips for during EuPFI conference We hope that you have a successful meeting, enjoy the sessions and made some productive connections. With everything new, there’s a learning curve. We appreciate your patience while we work diligently to provide you with the best possible experience with this new virtual platform. Here are some tips from frequently asked questions 1 Technology We have partnered with vfairs as the virtual platform provider. The platform uses Zoom for webinars and meetings, and they use Google viewer for PDFs of posters and Vimeo for on-demand platform presentations. Chats are not quite threaded but to reply to a specific comment in chats, hover over it till the reply button appears to answer it. 3 Programme Tips Pre-recorded and Live Sessions If you plan to attend a live session discussion, you are encouraged to view presentations (talks and posters) for that session ahead of time. The 10-minute Q&A sessions are more productive when you have reviewed the presentations. The presentations will not be reviewed in-depth in the live discussions. Join the session at the stated time. They are timed and will start on time and you will miss the section of the talk for you join late. However, presentations are available on-demand soon after the session has taken place, so you can catch up on what you might have missed. On-Demand Presentations The chat boxes associated with presentations are live 24 hours during the meeting. Be sure to visit often to see inquiries and responses.
