Newport & District Conservative Club T Installs Defibrillator he Newport & District Conservative Club, on the Isle of Wight, has succesfully fundraised and received donations from two Members in order to install a defibrillator on an external wall of the Club. This means that it can be used by any member of the Club’s local community should the need arise. Diane Boughen, the Club’s Chairman said “We on the Committee had been considering holding fundraising events with a view to buying a defibrillator after someone collapsed nearby. Fortunately for us, two of our members, Ginny & Barry Taylor, offered to provide the funds which enabled us to bring the device into availability sooner than expected. On behalf of the committee and membership I offer our grateful thanks to them both”.
