Arranged exclusively for members of the Essex Police Federation and their families Valid for travel commencing no later than 31st December 2022. Provided you have paid the appropriate premium as shown on your schedule, you are covered in accordance with the full wording shown herein up to the limits indicated below. IMPORTANT CONDITIONS RELATING TO HEALTH In respect of travel to all destinations, you are not covered for any directly or indirectly related claim if at the time this insurance was arranged and each time you make arrangements for a trip, you or your travelling companions insured under this policy or any non-travellers upon whose health your travel plans depend; i. have been given a terminal diagnosis, or ii. are on a waiting list for surgery, treatment or investigation at a hospital clinic or nursing home or are awaiting the results of any tests or investigations, or iii. have any medical condition for which a diagnosis has not yet been received, or iv. are planning to travel against the advice of a medical practitioner or travelling specifically to seek, or you know you will need, medical treatment while you are away, or v. have any medical condition for which the recommended treatment or prescribed medication as directed by a medical practitioner, is not being taken. For ALL insured persons aged 65 or over, or if you are aged under 65 and are travelling outside of Europe (as defined on page 3), please answer the following questions. At the time of taking out the policy: 1. Are any of you suffering from or have suffered from any form of cancer that has required any treatment in the past 24 months? Yes No 2. Have any of you been treated for breathing difficulties (other than stable well-controlled asthma) or any heart related condition (including angina and hypertension) and are still taking medication or receiving follow up consultations? Yes No 3. Do any of you have any other medical conditions that have required specialist referral to a consultant or hospital treatment within the last 24 months? Yes No If you have answered ‘Yes’ to any of questions 1 to 3 there is no cover for claims related directly or indirectly to these conditions. If special terms are necessary we will explain them to you and confirm them in writing. Please note calls may be recorded.
