ESDA Green Awards
(Annual Awards of Environment and Social Development Association Delhi)
The ESDA Green Awards consists of a sculpture & plaque. These Awards recognizes and
promotes individuals/organizations who have made a significant contribution in the area of
environmental protection, environmental science & its multidisciplinary subjects,
environmental engineering & technology, social sciences, agricultural sciences, environmental
economics, environmental health diseases, environmental biotechnology & microbiology,
education, prevention of social evils, women empowerment, human rights, poverty and social
development through teaching, leadership, activism, services, research, innovation and
technology. The ESDA Society confers these awards at every year during ESDA annual
international conference (ESDACON).
ESDA Green Awards 2021
1. ESDA Lifetime Achievement Award 2021
Category
Distinguished Faculty, Environmentalist, Visionaries, Activists, Scientists, Innovators,
Entrepreneurs
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 60 years or above
v Nominated by the Governing body member
v Minimum 5 years old Patron member of ESDA
v Significant contribution to the Environment, Society, Nation and the Globe at large
v Nominee should be a distinguished and acknowledged Leader and also an achiever and
notable contribution in respective fields that discuss above.
v Nominees must hold a faculty position over a minimum of 30 years with tremendous
academic record or be within five years of their full retirement from an eminent position.
2. ESDA Fellowship Award 2021
Category
Distinguished Academicians (Scientists and Faculties in higher education)
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 45 years or above
v Nominee must have doctorate degree from reputed institution
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA
v Nominee should be a distinguished and acknowledged scholar with tremendous academic
record and notable contribution in respective fields that discuss above.
v Nominees must hold a faculty position like Professor/Director/Scientist F or Associate
Professor / College Principal/ Scientist E position over a minimum of 3 years;
v Nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal papers,
review articles, books and/or issued patents;
v Nominee had successful mentoring of graduate/PG students and Ph.D. scholars;
v Nominee had successful completed research projects and grants.
3. ESDA Global Green Award 2021
Category
Distinguished world-fame Faculties, Environmentalist, Visionaries, Activists, Scientists &
Innovators, Entrepreneurs
(Preference for foreign nominees )
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 50 years or above
v Nominated by the Governing body member
v Patron member of ESDA may apply directly
v Extraordinary contribution to the Environmental protection and Social development at
Globe level and serious efforts for global environmental challenges
v Nominee should be a distinguished and recognized Leader at international level and also an
achiever in the respective fields that discuss above.
v Academic nominee must hold a faculty position over a minimum of 20 years with
tremendous academic record or be within five years of their full retirement from an eminent
position.
v Academic nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal
papers, review articles, books and/or issued patents and successful completion of research
projects and supervised Ph.D. thesis
4. ESDA Environmental Excellence Award 2021
Category
Faculties, Environmentalist, Visionaries, Activists, Scientists & Innovators, Entrepreneurs
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 50 years or above
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA
v Remarkable contribution to the Environmental protection, Society, Nation and the Globe at
large
v Nominee should be a distinguished and recognized Leader and also an achiever in the
respective fields like water conservation, mitigation of global warming & climate change,
air pollution control, waste management, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services,
green economy, social development, etc.
v Academic nominee must hold a faculty position over a minimum of 20 years with
tremendous academic record or be within five years of their full retirement from an eminent
position.
v Academic nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal
papers, review articles, books and/or issued patents and successful completion of research
projects and thesis of Ph.D. scholar
5. ESDA Eminent Scientist Award 2021
Category
Distinguished Academicians (Scientists and faculties of science in higher education)
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 45 years or above
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA
v Nominee must have Ph.D/M.Tech/MEE/M.D. degree
v Nominee demonstrated a consistent track record of significant and original basic and
applied research contributions in the area of environmental science & its multidisciplinary
subjects, environmental engineering& technology, green sciences & technology,
agricultural sciences, environmental biotechnology & microbiology;
v Nominee must hold a faculty position like Professor/Director/Scientist F or Associate
Professor / Scientist E position over a minimum of 3 years or be within five years of their full
retirement from an eminent position.
v Nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal papers,
review articles, books and/or issued patents;
v Nominee had successful mentoring of graduate/PG students and Ph.D. scholars;
v Nominee had successful completed research projects and grants.
6. ESDA Academics Excellence Award 2021
Category
Academicians (Scientists and Faculties in higher education)
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 45 years or above
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA
v Nominee must have Ph.D degree
v Nominee demonstrated a consistent track record of significant and original basic and
applied research contributions in the area of environmental sciences, bio-sciences, applied
sciences and social sciences;
v Nominee must have a minimum of 10 years teaching and research experience with
tremendous academic record and notable contribution in respective fields that discuss
above
v Nominee must hold a faculty position like Associate Professor / Scientist E position or
Assistant Professor/ Scientist C position over a minimum of 10 years;
v Nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal papers,
review articles, books and/or issued patents;
v Nominee had successful mentoring of graduate/PG students and Ph.D. scholars;
v Nominee had successful completed research projects and grants;
7. ESDA Senior Scientist Award 2021
Category
Academicians (Scientists and faculties of science in higher education)
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 40 years or above
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA
v Nominee must have Ph.D/M.Tech/MEE/M.D. degree
v Nominee has reliable track record of significant research contributions in the area of
environmental science & its multidisciplinary subjects, environmental engineering&
technology, green sciences, agricultural sciences, environmental biotechnology &
microbiology.
v Nominee must have a minimum of 10 years teaching or research experience with
tremendous academic record and notable contribution in respective fields that discuss
above

8. ESDA Social Scientist Award 2021
Category
Academicians (Faculties or researchers in higher education)
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 40 years or above;
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA;
v Nominee must have Ph.D degree in social sciences;
v Nominee has a consistent track record of significant research contributions in the area of
social sciences comprising sociology, economics, geography, political science, history,
mass communication, law, education, anthropology &psychology;
v Nominee must have a minimum of 10 years teaching &research experience with
tremendous academic record and notable contribution in respective fields that discuss
above;
v Nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal papers,
review articles, books and/or issued patents;
v Nominee had successful mentoring of graduate/PG students and Ph.D. scholars;
9. ESDA Green Leadership Award 2021
Category
Faculties, Environmentalist, Visionaries, Activists, Scientists & Innovators, Entrepreneurs
Organizations, industries, institutions (Preference for activism & organizations)
Eligibility Criteria
v Nominee should be Patron/Life member of ESDA
v Significant contribution to the Environmental protection &Social development; and
tremendous efforts for environmental challenges and social issues;
v Nominee should be a recognized Leader and also an achiever in the respective fields like
water conservation, mitigation of global warming & climate change, environmental
pollution control, waste management, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, green
economy, social development, prevention of social evils, etc.
v Academic nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal
papers, review articles, books and research projects.
10. ESDA Women Empowerment Award 2021
Category
Academician, faculty, Visionaries, Activists, Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs,
Social worker, Politician, sportsperson, Doctor, Engineer, other professionals,
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 40 years or above;
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA;
v Nominee must have highly educated and hold distinguished position in reputed
organization/industries;
v Remarkable contribution to the Society and Nation in the areas environmental protection,
education, human health, social service, human right, prevention of social evils, economy,
poverty and social development;
v Nominee should be a distinguished and recognized Leader and also an achiever in the
respective fields;
v Academic nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal
papers, review articles, books and research projects.
11. ESDA Environmentalist Award 2021
Category
Environmentalist, Scholars, Activists, Visionaries,
Eligibility Criteria
v Nominee should be Patron/Life member of ESDA
v Significant contribution to the Environmental protection
v Nominee should be a recognized as an environmental activist and serious efforts for water
conservation, mitigation of global warming & climate change, environmental pollution
control, waste management, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, green
economy, social development, etc.
12. ESDA Young Scientist Award 2021
Category
Academicians (Scientists, faculties, researchers)
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 40 years or below
v Nominee should be Patron/Life member of ESDA
v Nominee must have Ph.D/M.Tech/MEE/M.D. degree in respective subjects of Science that
discussed above;
v Nominee has an excellent record of publications including peer-reviewed journal papers,
review articles, books and/or issued patents;
13. ESDA Young Researcher Award 2021
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 35 years or below
v Nominee should be Patron/Life member of ESDA
v Nominee must doing Ph.D degree in respective subjects that discussed above;
v Nominee has an good record of publications including peer-reviewed journal papers and
review articles.
14. ESDA EHS Professional Award 2021
Category
EHS (environment, health & safety) manager, Safety manager, Safety officer and safety
entrepreneur
Eligibility Criteria
v Age: 40 years or below
v Nominee should be Patron member of ESDA
v Remarkable contribution to the EHS management and industrial safety management in
reputed organizations.
v Nominee must hold a position of EHS manager/officer or Safety manager at senior level;
v Nominee must have a minimum of 10 years working experience of environment, health &
safety management in reputed organizations and tremendous EHS management record and
notable contribution in respective fields;
15. ESDA Green Technolog y Award 2021
Category
Nominee maybe industries/organizations/institutions including manufactures, operation,
pharmaceuticals, construction, service, health, environment, safety, energy, consultancies along
with laboratories, hospitals, institutions Trusts, NGOs that are engage in environment friendly
product manufacture, operation & services to environmental protection.

Instructions
u The ESDA awards are reserved for ESDA Life and Patron members except some
extraordinary personalities that names will be recommended & nominated by governing
body members of ESDA.
u There are no any applying or processing fees of the ESDA Award.
u All ESDA awards are totally free as an honor and it decide on the merit base including
candidate profile, work-done, achievements and efforts for ESDA.
u The Award Committee members scrutinize the nominations / applications received from
various dignitaries for the ESDA Award, and then communicates the process of final
selection with due consent of the applicant.
u The ESDA Green Award 2021 presents in ESDA Award ceremony during World
Environment Summit 2021 at India International Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi on 26-27
June 2021.
u Conference and award ceremony organize on the basis of no-profit & no-loss with the help
of participants. Society has no any government or corporate grants.
u The event charges (Rs. 7500 to Rs. 10000) are applicable on the awardees including of
couple lunch/dinner and 50% discount of Conference registration fee. This is an event
orgnizing fee on the basis of venue booking, foods and other expenses.
NOTE:
v DECISION OF THE ESDA SOCIETY WILL BE FINAL. The SOCIETY reserves the right
to present or not to present the Award(s) even after the selection of candidates without
assigning any reason, whatsoever and without being answerable to anyone. No queries or
legal action can be directed towards the SOCIETY. This applies to the jurisdiction of Delhi
