Emergency Medicine Research News June 2022 Conducting innovative clinical and translational emergency care research to advance the health of the people of Wisconsin and beyond. - Featured News - Dr. Manish Shah has been named a Pioneer of Geriatric Emergency Medicine by the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine for his significant career contributions to emergency care for older adults. In addition, Dr. Shah was named president-elect of SAEM Foundation's Board of Trustees. Congrats, Dr. Shah! The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) has selected Dr. Michael Pulia for the 2022 class of the NAM Scholars in Diagnostic Excellence program. This career development program offers the opportunity for individuals to develop their diagnostic skills and make significant advancements in clinical diagnosis through a research project. Congratulations, Dr. Pulia! - Kudos - Congrats to Angela Gifford, MA on receiving a UW–Madison Academic Staff Professional Development Grant! This award will support her in attending the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in San Diego, CA.
