R S O R TE M E D #SU M Welcome... ...to another sizzling summer season at the Embassy Theatre, Skegness. We start the summer holidays with a bang welcoming the first ever appearance of possibly one of the BIGGEST TV STARS in the galaxy... (I am of course referring to Igglepiggle and the cast of In the Night Garden Live) and ending with the exciting 30th anniversary return of the world’s most successful Rock ‘n’ Roll musical Buddy. In-between is a summer season jam packed full of your favourite celebrity names, biggest feel good productions and new additions to the programme. I am thrilled to introduce a fantastic five week season of summer shows. Tuesdays have never sounded so good with a brand new production, LEGENDS & DIVAS IN CONCERT which features an international cast of performers 3 showS co-produced by Magna Vitae with Legends & Divas Productions here at the Embassy. Wednesday nights are made for Rock ‘n’ Roll with a third season return for 50’s sweetheart Nicola and the guys performing in an explosion of nostalgia and polkadot as LIPSTICK ON YOUR COLLAR. Thursday sees 34 years of summer FOR £50 shows at the Embassy with Janice Sutton’s 2019 title MUSICALITY, bringing you the best-known musical dance numbers from stage and screen. Whetting appetites with the welcome return of Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra on July 17th before a few treats in store ‘Upstairs at the Embassy’ with Jazz Afternoon Teas - see centre pages. September 12th sees the Skegness debut of Clare Teal & Her Big Mini Big Band - dubbed “the new first lady of jazz,” Clare is a household name as a Radio 2 presenter and award-winning jazz vocalist. This familiar voice is my must see pick-of-the-season recommendation. Whatever your age or preference, you’ll find a great selection of live entertainment and opportunity to get involved with your local theatre in the following pages.
