Our summer camps and events have ended, and we look forward to the return of our school year and fall season programming! Whether you are current participant, community partner, parent or just discovering Orange Community Education and Recreation, we invite you to explore this guide and discover the many ways we offer to play, create, learn and move. Over the last year, we’ve listened carefully as our families used our online registration software, sometimes with frustration, and we’re happy to say that through a new partnership with highly rated Eleyo registration software, we’ll be launching a new, easier to use, reliable, safe and convenient online registration software system with fall registration on August 20. Our staff is working hard to make this an easy transition for you, our users, and we’re confident that this will improve the way we interact by providing you with a simple way to get instant access to your registration history, class information, payment history and more. ORANGE EARLY YOUNG FIVES Our Young Fives program is designed specifically for children that miss the age CHILDHOOD PRESCHOOL cut-off for Kindergarten or for children who could benefit from an additional year of skill-building. The Young Fives program is structured just like a typical Kindergarten classroom to provide an easy transition to elementary school. Award Winning, Accredited, Amazing Young Fives is offered as a full-day, 5 day per week program and is for children The Orange Community Education & Recreation Preschool has been in operation that turn 5-years old by December 31, 2019. for 40 years and offers a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards. SCHOOL YEAR OPTIONS To accommodate families with varying schedules, we offer enrollment for 3 days a week or 5 days a week. Students may attend half-day, 9 am – 12:30 pm or full ENRICHMENT AND day, 9 am – 3 pm. For families needing extended care, our care covers both 7 am – 9 am and after school care from 3 – 6 pm for one fee. RECREATION FOR EARLY PRESCHOOL FOR TWOS PRESCHOOLERS The Early Preschool for Twos program is designed to create a foundation for your ONE TIME FUN! child’s early education. Special focus is placed on learning fundamental concepts, developing social skills and becoming acclimated to a school setting. Class takes place Monday through Friday from mid-august – end of May. This program is for NEW! LITTLE LIONS STUFFED children who will be 2-years old by June 30, 2019. Children do not need to be potty-trained to enroll in Early Preschool for Twos – we will work with you and ANIMAL WORKSHOP Ages 3 - 5 your child on potty-training throughout the year. Have your little one show their Orange Lions spirit by making his or her very own stuffed animal lion. Your child will stuff the lion, design an Orange Lions t-shirt for the new cuddle buddy and decorate a birth certificate.
