7/26/19 2018 Award Recipients Justin Dutton, NETTTS Justin Dutton is a CDL A graduate of the NETTTS North Andover 600-hour weekend program. As a weekend student Justin gave up every Saturday and Sunday he could have spent with his family in order to better his life situation. From the beginning it was clear that Justin was very motivated to obtain his CDL and employment. Justin had perfect attendance, was an A student and passed his licensing exam on his first attempt, earning NETTTS “elite” status. Justin became employed with NFI shortly after obtaining his license. Everyone at NETTTS is extremely proud of Justin’s accomplishment and his dedication to overcoming the obstacles in his life. 2018 Award Recipients Roshani Majmundar, Porter and Chester Roshani graduated from the Medical Billing and Coding Program with a 4.0 average and had perfect attendance for the 9-month program. She was a Student Ambassador for 3 of her 4 terms at PCI Rocky Hill. She is also a member of the National Technical Honor Society. She passed her Certified Professional Coder Exam, and was hired by her externship site due to her above average excellence with her skill set. She related well to her follow students and everyone loved her. Roshani was also attentive to detail and hard-working. She has earned all of the accolades she has received. She is a perfect example of “perseverance pays off”. 4
7/26/19 2018 Award Recipients Joselyne Ortega, Toni & Guy Publicly know as Jawz (The Boston Braider) Joselyn was non stop feeding herself education from every teacher, video, and book she got her hands on in the school. She graduated with Honors in Attendance and also won a Nation wide Cut-Above Contest with TONI&GUY. After graduation, she soared to the top of Boston's Braiding culture by doing members of the Boston Celtics, Red Sox and Patriot players’ hair. At her salon, 333 Salon & Barbershop, she applies professionalism in her relationships with clients and fellow stylists. In her spare time, Jawz participates in a mentorship program she started for young adults who financially cannot go to school, but are bursting to get their hands in her field of expertise. 2018 Award Recipients Sinead Politz, Porter and Chester Sinead Politz graduated from the PCI Dental Assisting Program. As a recent widow raising two young children, she excelled beyond her own expectations. Sinead was elected Student Ambassador, inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, and was a class leader, offering tireless support both academically and emotionally to her classmates. She excelled at her clinical externship sites and was offered a position as an Oral Surgery Assistant at CT Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Meriden, CT. Sinead was an outstanding student that represented her program and her school with the utmost of integrity and elegance. She is a student speaker at graduation and she serves as an exemplary role model to all past, current, and future students. 5
7/26/19 2018 Award Recipients Brandon Ruis, NETTTS Brandon Ruis is an extremely dedicated, hardworking, and loyal student who quickly set himself apart in the HVAC-R program. While he was a student, Brandon maintained a 3.88 GPA and almost perfect attendance. Brandon always helped his instructors with special projects when he was asked and he never complained. Brandon is currently employed at Hussmann as an HVAC-R Apprentice and enjoys what he is doing. All the faculty and staff at NETTTS North Andover want Brandon to know they are proud of his accomplishments and the sacrifices he has made to achieve his dreams. 2018 Award Recipients Cedric Saysay, Porter and Chester Before enrolling in the Computer Aided Drafting and Design program at Porter & Chester, Cedric spent 20 years as a mortgage analysis for Wells Fargo. At PCI his peers voted him as the student ambassador for his program. He built lifelong relationships with his classmates and his energy and positive attitude drew every staff member to get to know him. After graduating in April 2018, Cedric found quick employment with Ostro Electric as a Building Module Coordinator. He now enjoys the daily challenges in an industry he had wanted to be a part of for many years. 6
7/26/19 2018 Award Recipients Tori Zanco, Lincoln Technical Institute Tori Zanco graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute with a 3.98 GPA and attendance of 99.2%. Tori was a wonderful student, excelled and took great pride in her work. She is thoughtful, intelligent, kind, and well- mannered. She strives to do her best on every assignment. She is conscientious with an outstanding work ethic and organizational skills. She is eager to learn and encourages others to do well. During her externship, Tori was dedicated and went above and beyond her actual duties. When faced with a work-related issue, Tori always kept a clear mind and made decisions in the best interest of the office and her fellow workers. She took on new tasks with ease, and needed very little instruction or supervision. Tori is currently working at Weston Pediatric Dentistry. NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 7
7/26/19 2017 Award Recipients Todd Helmeke, NETTTS After Todd Helmeke spent about 10 years installing cable lines, he decided he wanted to invest further in his career, and being good with his hands, he decided HVAC would be the right path to begin his journey. Todd began at NETTTS Technical Trades Division and excelled in both class and lab. Todd was an excellent student while at NETTTS, and was a full participant in all activities. Todd’s knowledge and skill landed him a job shortly after completing his program, and graduating. Todd is currently employed with Gas Associates and satisfied with his decision to invest in his career. 2017 Award Recipients Denise Laureano, NETTTS Before enrolling in NETTTS Denise Laureano worked for many years in the food service industry. She always had the ambition and desire to learn how to drive a tractor-trailer. Denise began her journey with NETTTS for her CDL training and enrolled in the 540 hour program feeling determined. Denise was an excellent student while at NETTTS and had perfect attendance. Denise obtained her CDL A license on the first attempt, earning NETTTS “elite” status. Since then, Denise has been a commercial truck driver full time, and is enjoying her new career. 8
7/26/19 2017 Award Recipients Michael Mandella, Porter and Chester Michael is a US Army Veteran, and a Porter and Chester Alumni who graduated in October 2016 from the Electrical program. Michael was accepted into the National Technical Honors Society, achieving a 4.0 GPA and awarded the perfect attendance award. While in school, Michael gained a thorough understanding of the electrical field and what it takes to be a successful professional within his industry. With the help of the Porter and Chester Career Services department, and Michael’s determination and commitment, he was offered a position as an Electrical Apprentice at Guardian Energy Management Solutions in Marlborough, MA. 2017 Award Recipients Rooselyne Plaisime, Lincoln Tech Somerville Rooselyne Plaisime was an outstanding graduate from the Lincoln Tech Somerville Campus. She graduated from the Medical Assistant program on June 23, 2017 with a 3.94 GPA and 97.6% attendance rate. Rooselyne currently works at Mount Auburn Primary Care as a Clinical Assistant. While she continues to work full time, she is enrolled in a full time nursing program at Bay State College. Rooselyne truly has an exceptional drive to succeed, and her instructors at Lincoln Tech are confident she will accomplish great things in her career. 9
7/26/19 NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 2016 Award Recipients Mark Grillo, NETTTS Mark Grillo was an April 2016 graduate of NETTTS with an impressive 4.0 G.P.A. He was noted for making a positive change in his life, and was remembered for always coming to school with a good attitude and a willingness to learn. 10
7/26/19 2016 Award Recipients Kerrin Morganelli, Lincoln Tech Kerrin Morganelli was a 2015 graduate of the Dental Assisting Program at Lincoln Technical Institute in Brockton, MA. She was noted for being an inspiration to many people, for always having a positive attitude, helping her classmates whenever needed, and maintained straight A’s with perfect attendance. She also accomplished all of these feats while being a single mother. 2016 Award Recipients Edward Eubank, Porter and Chester Edward Eubank was a July 2016 graduate of Porter and Chester’s HVAC/R program. He was nominated for his professionalism and determination, finished near the top of his class on all tests and quizzes, had near perfect attendance, and was always willing to help out his fellow students. 11
7/26/19 2016 Award Recipients Candis Labby, Lincoln Tech Candis Labby was a graduate of Lincoln Tech’s Medical Assistant program, and finished with an impressive 3.92 GPA and 98.6% attendance. She began her externship at Mass Lung & Allergy in Leominster in July, and was noted for putting her heart and soul into her work. When her hours there were completed, a position was created for her so that she could stay. She exemplified excellence, determination, and the resolve to make a difference in the lives of those around her. 2016 Award Recipients Eric Cloutier, NETTTS Eric Cloutier was a graduate of NETTTS, and has served our country in the United States Marine Corps, and the Air National Guard. As a veteran, Eric took a long hard look at how his contribution to his country can transform his future. Eric chose NETTTS’ Commercial Driving program as a way to provide a future for himself and his family, and also so that he could utilize his G.I. Bill. Eric passed on his first attempt, and is now employed with U.S. Foods. 12
7/26/19 NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 2015 Award Recipients Chloe Robinson, Lincoln Tech When Chloe started her Medical Assistant training at Lincoln Technical Institute she was a single mom living in a local shelter. She was determined to make the most of her education and the most of her future. Chloe’s instructors were always impressed with her questions and quest for more. Chloe completed the MA program with a 3.96 GPA and 96% attendance. After graduation Chloe began her career as a full-time Medical Assistant at a general medicine clinic at Lahey Hospital Clinic in Burlington. 13
7/26/19 2015 Award Recipients David Bonner, NETTTS David Bonner graduated from NETTTS in March 2015. His instructors praised him for his discipline, exemplary attendance and willingness to help others, which propelled him to “Elite Student” status while enrolled. The word Elite is a distinction shared by few at NETTTS and admired by many. While enrolled, his perfect attendance and role-model behavior laid the foundation for his success at the school. David’s instructors said spending time with David inspired others to imagine their own potential and acknowledge a passion for a more rewarding future. 2015 Award Recipients Isamar Bonnilla, Lincoln Tech Isamar was an outstanding student in all respects. She proved herself with hard work, follow through and teamwork. Isamar was a student ambassador and lauded by school staff as a natural leader, a role model and someone with character and integrity. Isamar finished her program with 3.83 GPA. After two months working part-time for Massachusetts General Hospital, she was offered full time employment. Lincoln Technical Institute is privileged to have her represent them at the number one hospital in New England! 14
7/26/19 NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 2014 Award Recipients Cara Berreni, Lincoln Tech Cara began her Dental Assistant training in 2014. Cara maintained a 3.9 GPA and 98.6% attendance. Jade Dunn, Lincoln’s Director of Career Services, “Cara always came prepared and participated regularly in class discussion and clinical work. She was able to understand concepts quickly and was always willing to help and encourage anyone that needed it.” Jade added that, “Cara has passed both the Infection Control and Radiation Health Safety certification exams.” Cara was invited to Lincoln Tech to address the students that would be entering the Dental Assistant program. She gave the new students advice and insight about becoming successful as a dental assistant. 15
7/26/19 2014 Award Recipients Logan Gaudet, NETTTS Logan Gaudet graduated from New England Tractor Trailer Training School and acquired his CDCA in 2014. During his time at New England Tractor Trailer School, he was an outstanding student. He always had a positive attitude that was contagious throughout his time at NETTTS. Logan had a strong work ethic and near perfect attendance. He graduated with a 3.82 GPA and was a beacon of encouragement, a motivated role model that never gave up his ultimate goal of being a professional truck driver. After graduation, Logan was hired by Old Dominion in Dracut, MA. NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 16
7/26/19 2013 Award Recipients Alma Starcevic, DeWalt Institute Alma began her medical Assistant training in March of 2013. She worked with the Framingham Career Center to secure funding for her training. In October 2013 she was hired directly from her externship with Doctors Express Urgent Care. Alma was eager to learn, dedicated to her studies, and committed to success. She served as a role model to other medical assistant students and future graduates. She also brought this same work ethic and tenacity to her externship and it paid off. 2013 Award Recipients Derek Sullivan, ITT Technical Institute Derek earned a degree in Computer and Electronics Technology from ITT Technical Institute, Wilmington, MA. He graduated in October 2013 with a GPA of 4.0 and was program valedictorian. Derek had a thirst for learning that is hard to match and a passion for his studies. After graduation, Derek worked at Apple as a Genius. Derek also worked at Cambridge Electronics, Inc., a small computer reseller, where he served in many roles with sales, service and operations. 17
7/26/19 2013 Award Recipients Donald Alcus, Lincoln Tech Donald graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute (Lowell) in August 2013. He completed the program with a 3.98 GPA and 98% attendance. He was part of a pilot program that was developed to provide a better, well-rounded externship experience for Lincoln’s students. Donald offered input about ways to improve the experience that was greatly appreciated by the manager and changes were made at the site due to his input. After completing his externship, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services offered Donald a pharmacy technician position. 2013 Award Recipients Nana Gyasi, Peak Medical Academy Nana Gyasi graduated from Peak Medical Academy in March 2013. Nana was compassionate, dedicated and often complimented for the way she cared for her patients on the clinical site. Nana was recognized for her continued spirit for helping and cooking for her classmates. Nana would cook and bring food in almost everyday to keep her fellow classmates well nourished. 18
7/26/19 2013 Award Recipients Shannon Doherty, New England Hair Academy Shannon graduated from the New England Hair Academy in September 2013. She began the Cosmetology Program in September 2012 as a full time day student. During the following 6 months, Shannon struggled with many personal issues including her mom being diagnosed with cancer. Unable to focus on her education, she was forced to leave the program to attend to her personal obstacles. She returned to the Academy in June 2013 and demonstrated tremendous dedication to learning and academic achievement and exemplifies the true meaning of determination and dedication. Shannon passed her state board exam and received her license to work in the hair and beauty industry. NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 19
7/26/19 2012 Award Recipients Cheryl Neary, Le Cordon Bleu Cheryl Neary graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Boston with an Associate of Science Degree in Culinary Arts in 2010. During her time at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Boston, Cheryl was an outstanding student academically, and graduated the program with high honors. While attending Le Cordon Bleu, Cheryl volunteered for many events and gave her time freely. Since her graduation from the college, Cheryl has worked at several fine-dining restaurants and bakeries. After graduation she planned to open a gourmet bakery and café. 2012 Award Recipients Joel Eshun, Lincoln Tech Joel Eshun is an August 2012 graduate of the Lincoln Technical Institute Lowell Pharmacy Technician program. He is currently employed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services, a leading pharmacy services provider to acute care and specialty hospitals and behavioral systems. This is where Joel did his PT externship and was hired right out of externship. In addition to his academic excellence, Joel is well known at Lincoln for his extraordinary story of support for his native Ghana. It is there where Joel and his mother started an orphanage in their home. What started as a small idea has slowly grown into an international charity and they now manage the J & D Needy Foundation which can service anywhere from 20 to 70 children at any given time. 20
7/26/19 2012 Award Recipients John Morrisroe, DeWalt Institute John Morrisroe is a recent 2012 graduate of the DeWalt Institute, d.b.a. Health Training Center with a certificate in Medical Assisting. After over 30 years in the hospitality industry and most recently 15 years at the Sealtest Corporation, John found himself as a dislocated worker when the company moved from Massachusetts to Tennessee. With the help of the local career center, John found that for the first time in his life, he could actually choose what he wanted to do. He chose to become a Medical Assistant. He finished an internship at the Orthopedic Associates of Marlboro and is volunteering at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham in appreciation for the excellent care he received in the past. 2012 Award Recipients Jose Santana, New England Hair Academy Jose graduated from the evening Barbering program at New England Hair Academy on July 6, 2011. Jose worked his full-time job daily and attended class each evening until 9:30pm completing the 1,000 hour program in 15 months. He displayed enthusiasm to learn, and an undying desire to mentor fellow students. Jose’s practical work was commendable due to his attention to detail, which produced an excellent result to all his work and compliments from his clients. Jose took great pride in his school, his educators, staff and career goals without falter. After graduation, Jose started full-time at Big Sal’s Superior Barber Shop in Salem, MA. 21
7/26/19 2012 Award Recipients Lauren Bradford, Le Cordon Blue Lauren Bradford graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Boston with an Associate of Science Degree in Culinary Arts in 2010. Lauren was an outstanding student academically, and graduated from the program with high honors. Upon her graduation, Lauren accepted a position teaching Culinary Arts at Everett High School. In that position, Lauren had the opportunity to help develop the chefs of tomorrow by teaching them soft-skills as well as culinary techniques. When she graduated, Lauren was the president of the Le Cordon Bleu Boston Alumni Association and continues to give her time to help the college and its students. 2012 Award Recipients Marianne Marrone, Le Cordon Bleu Marianne graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Boston with a Certificate in Culinary Arts in 2012. During her time at Le Cordon Bleu, Marianne was an outstanding student academically and graduated from the program with high honors. Marianne did her externship at Technique Restaurant at the college. Upon her graduation, Marianne accepted a position at Kitchen on Common in Belmont MA. At the time of her graduation, Marianne was the vice-president of the Le Cordon Bleu Boston alumni association. 22
7/26/19 2012 Award Recipients Ruth Garland, Sullivan and Cogliano Ruth Garland enrolled in the Microsoft Office Specialist program at Sullivan and Cogliano Training Centers in May 2011. From Ruth's first day, she exuded a positive can-do attitude and commitment to successfully completing the program. She assisted in the classroom and with special projects. Ruth graduated in February 2012 with a GPA of 3.71 and better than excellent attendance. After graduation, Ruth started work at Greater Brockton Healthy Families Program as an Administrative Assistant. 2012 Award Recipients Solelia Stephenson, Lincoln Tech Solelia is a Lincoln Tech recent graduate with a certificate in Medical Assisting. She is also a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. She is currently employed at South Shore Internal Medicine in Milton, MA. Solelia is to be commended for overcoming a debilitating illness and the responsibility of raising two children on her own. Solelia did not give up on education, and after her long recovery when she had to relearn how to walk and use her hands, she called Lincoln Tech’s Brockton Campus. This was the beginning of a new life for Solelia and she excelled in school and in her new career. “Solelia is a survivor and deserves continued success in her career, we wish her all of the best,” Laura Forth, Lincoln Tech Brockton. 23
7/26/19 2012 Award Recipients Wudade Mohammed, Millennium Training Institute Wudade Mohammed, Medical Assistant, joined the Millennium Training Institute at the Boston Campus near Fort Point Channel in the fall of 2010 and graduated in November 2011 in top 5% of the class. She quickly landed a position at Boston Children’s Hospital to provide full-time phlebotomy services to children receiving healthcare in several of their locations. Her sensitivity and skillful technique serve her well in her position. Wudade’s performance, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement are consistent with the AAMA Medical Assistant Creed. NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 24
7/26/19 2011 Award Recipients Emilia Smugarzewska, The Salter School Emilia came to United States from Poland at the age of 16. After completing high school in New York, she moved to the Boston area working to support herself while she awaited her green card. She was determined to enroll in a higher education institution and pursue a career. Emilia graduated in December 2009 with a GPA of 3.93 and was hired as a paralegal after her externship at Credential Settlement and Legal Services. In 2010, Emilia joined The Salter School team as the Malden receptionist and within the year was promoted to Student Services Representative. In her student services role, she continued to give back to the community and contribute to the student experience. NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Achievement Awards 25
7/26/19 2010 Award Recipients Derek Demers, The Salter School Derek Demers graduated from The Salter School – Tewksbury Campus with a certificate in Medical Assisting in 2009. He graduated with a 3.91 GPA and received the Director of Medical Assisting Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Campus. He also served as a member of the Student Activities Committee and was appointed as a Student Ambassador. Derek exemplifies how hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude has the ability to change your life and positively affect those around you. Derek was hired directly from his externship, and began pursuing a degree in Nursing. 2010 Award Recipients Eric Letson, Medical Professional Institute Eric graduated from the Medical Professional Institute in Malden, Mass. He was an active participant in student activities and was elected and served as a Classroom Representative and participated in Medical Professional Institute’s Advisory Committee meetings. Upon completion of his externship and graduation in February of 2010, Eric was hired as a Phlebotomist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Lexington Massachusetts. 26
7/26/19 2010 Award Recipients Alyce Mesquits, Lincoln Tech Alyce Mesquits graduated from the Lincoln Technical Institute in Lowell, Mass. During her time at school Alyce was devoted and committed to excellence in her education. She stood out academically from the beginning of her education and maintained a 4.0 GPA. She was also generous with her knowledge, mentoring fellow students in many of her classes. Alyce’s enthusiastic attitude and positive energy prevailed during both her externship and first employment at Lahey Clinic. 2010 Award Recipients Marleny Ortega, The Salter School Marleny Ortega graduated from The Salter School in Malden, Mass. Marleny had all the characteristics needed to become a phenomenal Medical Assistant. She took initiative, was a great team player, was extremely attentive, and motivated. She also showed great leadership capabilities and had a very caring touch. Marleny motivated everyone she came in contact with. While attending the Salter School, Marleny achieved high honors in each of her modules. She graduated in November 2009 and started her career as the lead Phlebotomist/Processor at the New England Research Institute in Watertown Mass. 27
