DOGS 3 MRS SUSAN BRUNO (QLD) I began showing dogs in the late 60`s with German Shepherds and went on to win 2 Best In shows at the Adelaide Royal in the mid 70`s which was a great thrill. I became heavily involved with the development of the German Shepherd dog throughout this time and in 1973 I attended the National which was judged by a German and this experience changed my life and it was the beginning of my specialist career in this breed which still continues today. I gained my German Shepherd specialist licence in 1996 of which I am very proud and have judged many shows throughout Australia. I had the honour of handling the Gold Medal winning bitch at the 1986 National in Canberra which is the highlight of my long career in this breed. I began exhibiting English Cocker Spaniels in the early 80`s when my husband was posted to Townsville, I have since bred many Champions ,2 Grand Champions and many Best In Show winners . I am devoted to this breed and of course the German Shepherd Dog . I am also involved with Golden Retrievers and Rhodesian Ridgebacks which I show for dear friends of mine. I became all breeds in 2014 after many years of hard work and have been very busy with numerous judging appointments here and overseas. PROF. BRIAN CORBITT (NSW) Professor Brian Corbitt has been judging since 1977 and has been an All Breeds Judge for 30 years. He has judged at all breeds and group championship shows in all parts of the world and has judged specialty championship shows both in Australia and outside of Australia. Professor Corbitt has been involved in training conformation dog judges in all groups over the past 27 years, including a period of 5 years as Chairperson of the Judges Training Scheme and developed the system used in Australia by all states for accrediting testers of Dog Judges. He did all the initial accreditation of testers for dog conformation judges in each of the states of Australia. Professor Corbitt has bred and shown many Champion Old English Sheepdogs, Tibetan Terriers, and Lakeland Terriers, and has owned a Samoyed and is currently owned by a Golden Retriever. He is Patron of the Japanese Chin Club of Victoria. Professor Brian Corbitt was Professor of Information Systems and Professor Mentor at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He is now an eminent, Emeritus Professor. He has also taught at the University of Maryland in the USA, living in College Park, MD; Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, and the University of Melbourne in Australia. MS SUSAN FOSTER (SA) I became involved in the dog showing world in 1972 shortly after I landed in Australia. My father's first love was the Standard Smooth Dachshund and we always had at least 4 of these dogs running around at home. My first show dog was an Irish Setter. Since that time I have exhibited a Standard Smooth Dachshund and exhibited and bred Irish Setters, Saluki's and Papillons and titled numerous dogs in all these breeds. In 1998 I became involved with Great Danes and currently we are exhibiting Papillons and Great Danes. I became an All-Breeds judge in 2004. I have judged extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand and also South Africa, India, Indonesia and China. I have been actively involved in several all breeds dogs clubs, both in South Australia and Queensland. I am a past secretary of the Setter Club of South Australia, a Life Member of The Adelaide Hills Kennel Club, am President of the Canine Fanciers Kennel Club and also Vice President of the Toy Dog Club of South Australia and President of the newly formed Papillon Dog Club of South Australia. I am on the Judges Training Panel, am an accredited examiner with Dogs SA (ANKC) and am convenor for Group 6. I am also a member of the Investigations Committee of Dogs SA.
