ARTMOSPHERE About us Artmosphere, headed by Hortensia Strajnic, organizes international workshops thanks to its thorough knowledge of the artistic world, its back- ground of trainor in artistic professions and its past of performing arts producer. The company uses its experience to provide support to artists during every step of their projects. Since 2009, it proposes international workshops in New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Tokyo to allow professionals, semi-professionals and ama- teurs to progress and to improve their arts. These workshops, open to all levels, are a real opportunity to take dance, vocal, Pole Dance, cirucs and aerial classes in worldwide renown schools, with teachers known for their impressive careers. A program that offers the opportunity to leap forward through numerous enriching encounters, in exceptionnal settings and a unique atmos- phere. Everyone is then completely free to live their adventure as they wish, within a guidance that guarantees an unanimous success. In 2013, Artmosphere has created the first international dance workshop in Paris, DWP, which has been a great success, with over 150 dancers from France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Japan and USA coming for this first edition. Every year, more than 300 dancers participate to live this experience and enjoy this multidisciplinary workshop. DWP is steadily enriched to provide dancers with more opportunities and optimum working conditions. 3
DANCE WORKSHOP PARIS - DWP The international dance workshop in Paris. The goal of Dance Workshop Paris (DWP) is to gather together artists and dancers, professionals and amateurs from all over the world around, a common passion : DANCE. Thanks to an internationally renown team of teachers, coming from the USA, Europe and Asia, the participants have an access to a diversified pe- dagogy, focussed on every dancer’s profile. A complete schedule, which proposes a large choice of styles during 5 days non stop : Street Hip Hop, Street Stilettos, Theater Dance, Bob Fosse Style, Contemporary Jazz, Horton Technique, Lyrical Jazz, Soul Jazz, Jazz Funk, Ragga Dancehall... Dancers have the choice between different class cards, from single classes to unlimited classes cards, to be used according to every participant’s wishes and availabilities, for more freedom and flexibility. No obligation to be here during the 5 days ! DWP is the perfect place to meet dancers from all over the world, to get new inspiration and a perfect opportunity to improve skills and discover new disciplines. 4
CITY BEAST PLEYEL Presentation of the studios Created by Brahim Zaibat and Yaman Okur , the City Beast Pleyel hosts for the second time our great international dance workshop DWP. This year, Artmosphere privatizes the whole site, including 2 dance studios of 200m² and 300m², in order to welcome you in the best conditions. Located at the gateway of Paris, City Beast Pleyel welcomes regularly the French version of «Dancing with the Stars» TV Show. 5

FACULTY Bio SWITZERLAND / ITALY HORTON / THEATER DANCE BOB FOSSE Alex Freï Graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Amsterdam, Alex was awarded with a scholarship for the Alvin Ailey school in New York. He has danced for of several companies, like the Memento Dance Company, Geraldine Armstrong Dance Ensemble, Paradis Latin, Compagnie Blanca Li, Compagnie Georges Momboye and Bejart Ballet Lausanne. He was also solist for Ballet théâtre of Munich, Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, Ezdanza and the Augsburg Ballet. At the same time, he discovered himself a passion for teaching, specialized in the Horton Technique and the Bob Fosse’s style. Since 1999 he has taught in several schools all over the world. Throughout his career he has been cast member of several Musicals theatre productions, such as “42nd Street”, “Copacabana”, “Marylin”, “Fiddler on the roof”, “My Fair Lady”, “Bodyguard“, “La cage aux folles”, “Cabaret” and the European tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats”. During 2014-2015 season, he has been the Ballet Master’s assistant and dancer in the role of « The Spirit of Fosse» for the famous musical “Chicago” in Germany. He has also danced in the danish version. He’s currently in the danish version of the Musical “Chicago”. STREET STILETTOS USA - New York Shirlene Quigley Shirlene Quigley was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and has moved to New York city. She has worked with famous artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Destiny’s Child, Missy Elliot, Mary J Blige, Jamie Foxx, Ray J, Lil Romeo and Ashanti. Shirlene’s dance career began at 18 years old, when she danced on Beyonce’s «Crazy In Love» music video. She also performed on many award shows such as, The Grammy’s, VMA’s, Black Girls Rock, Teen Choice Awards, BET Awards, NRJ Awards, VMA Japan. As well as television and Talk Shows like All My Children, Diva’s Live, America’s Got Talent, Oprah, The View, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Craig Fergeson, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, and a national commercial for Pepsi. While on a break from touring, Shirlene created Millennium Dance Complex’s, first high heel dance class, in Los Angeles. She has now brought it to New York City, teaching at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance and also in Europe or in Peru, Mexico and Vancouver. More than anything, Shirlene wants to use her experiences and successes to be a testimony for this generation world wide. She wants to use her beliefs and her position in the entertaining industry to inspire, motivate, and build other great leaders to step into destiny and pursue purpose. 8
EMBODIMENT USA (San Francisco) Chris McCarthy Born in San Francisco, and raised in Miami, McCarthy started dancing and developed into a self-taught contemporary dancer, at just 16 years old. After beginning his formal training at Miami Dance Town (under the direction of Manny Castro), he signed as a dancer/entertainer for C&J Productions. Currently, Chris now lives in Paris, France working around the world as a Dancer , Soloist, and Teacher. At the age of 23, he started to develop is own very personal technique, «Embodiment», travelling around ce world to share this concept to actual and new generations. Since then, some highlights in McCarthy’s career include : «Judy Garland & Liza Minnelli Together Again», «Adam et Eve», «Robin des Bois», «Rock the Ballet», «Dancer-American in Paris»...and performances for great artists such as : Céline Dion, Pascal Obispo, Rita Ora, Florence and the Machine, Paris Hilton, Willy Moon, Matt Pokora, Shy’m, Jennifer, Amel Bent... McCarthy is proud of his achievements thus-far and he looks forward to a blessed and growing career FRANCE STREET JAZZ NEW STYLE Nathalie Lucas Born on May 4th 1982 in Ambilly (Haute Savoie, France), Nathalie Lucas begins to dance ballet at the age of 8. She discovers modern Jazz 2 years later and gets a training of ten years in ballet and jazz with Myriam Eynard. As a fan of Michael Jackson, she turns towards hip hop and develops new skills with various teachers such as Olé Khamchan- la, Pop’n Taco, Dominique Lisette... In 2000, she works with Accrorap dance company on the «Quilombo» project, before getting a professional contract with Malka dance company for the show «Paroles de vent, paroles de sable». After a successful tour and a beautiful experience, she decides to go to Paris to develop her skills and to become more pro- fessional. So in 2003, Nathalie settles down in the French capital and locks herself in dance studios ! During this period, she learns from Dominique Lesdema, Dominique Lisette, William Levallant, Laure Courtellemont and many others... 9
JAZZ FUNK L.A. STYLE USA - Los Angeles Hamilton Evans Hamilton Evans was born and raised in a small country town in the United Kingdom. Seeking to pursue further his career as a dancer /choreographer, he moved to Central London to expand his training with some of the leading artists in Europe. Hamilton’s expertise and creative style have lead him to be very successful and become a resident educator at reco- gnized studios such as Pineapple Dance Studio(s) & Studio 68. Such success to his classes had lead him to educate all over Europe in countries like France, Spain, Poland, and Norway. To develop even more his career, he recently moved to L.A where he instantly became an overnight success within days of arriving. Hamilton has been teaching in all the top studios such as The Edge, Millennium Dance Complex & Debbie Reynolds. Bringing his fresh Jazz Funk style all the way from London and his friendly high energy personality make him truly unique and leave his students wanting him to come back and teach again and again. FRANCE RAGGA / DANCEHALL Jay-C Val Jay-C Val is a french multidisciplinary dancer, specialized in modern dance movements such as Dancehall, Afrobeatz and Hiphop. His choreographic universe is unique, rich and in perpetual evolution. Originally from Cameroon, Jay-C was surrounded by traditional rhythms and music from an early age. He naturally began his dance training in African dance styles, and in traditional Cameroonian dances. As an acrobatic dancer, Jay-C has also studied Capoeira, the Brazilian martial art, including both physical and musical parts. . Eager to grow in his dance, he studied new dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Jazz Rock, House, Dancehall and Cuban Salsa. He was quickly invited to join different companies, and to participate in various shows, events and videos all over the world. Jay-C shares his dance universe with several Parisian and international schools, where he teaches Dancehall, Afrobeatz, Hip-hop, Acrobatics and House. A multifaceted artist who loves learning and experimenting with new styles, he is open-minded and always looking for unique experiences. Jay-C is an energetic, powerful, graceful and passionate dancer who communicates enthusiasm, 10 good humor and the joy of dancing to his audience.
CONTEMPORARY JAZZ FRANCE Tatiana Seguin Tatiana has been a dancer her whole life, her first dance steps were when she was 2 years old. She has worked with famous choreographers such as Redha, Kamel Ouali and Corinne Lanselle and was dancer in Kylie Monogue’s world tour. In 2012, Tatiana and her brother Grichka were finalists of a French TV Show: «La Meilleure Danse». She now works as a dancer in television industry and also as a teacher and choreographer at some Paris dance studios and in European workshops. Tatiana’s class begin with an intensive warm up designed to work on focus technique strength and flexibility. The move- ments have a broad range of expressive and impressive technical skills. It has a diversity of movement. JAZZ FUNK FRANCE Nicolas Huchard Originally from Paris, Nicolas is a dancer and a choreographer since he turned 20. He started dancing when he was 6 years old, going to a circus school where he learned singing, dancing and doing acroba- tics. For Nicolas, Dance is like BREATHING… is to be ALIVE. Having a career in dance was very clear for him. He studied in AID Dance school of Paris (International Academy of Dance). During his training, he was involved in the artistic project “Le Boléro de Ravel”, under the direction of Maurice Ravel. He moved to United States very fast to keep on enriching his dance in the top dance studios such as Broadway Dance Center, Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Reynolds… He improved his skills in Contemporary dance, Jazz and Hip Hop. In 2010, he worked with 2 famous choreographers, Brian FRIEDMAN and Sisco GOMEZ, for the reality TV Show X-Factor in London. The last few years, he worked as a dancer with David Guetta, Kelly Rowland, Shy’m, Matt Pokora, Ben l’Oncle Soul… He has initiated many artistic projects and events. He was among all Pharell Williams’ double and the model for Jean Paul Goude, on the cover of the magazine “Numéro Homme”. In Spring 2015, he was noticed during the Workshop Rebel Heart Tour of Madonna. He performed then as a dancer in Madonna’s world tour. Nicolas is travelling all over the world to spread his passion for dance (Spain, South Korea, United States, England, Switzer- land, France…) He’s now dancer for the famous French musical singer : Christine & The Queens. 11
USA - New York / JAPAN THEATER DANCE / LYRICAL JAZZ Richard Pierlon Richard Pierlon was trained at Harkness School of Ballet, Martha Graham School, Alvin Ailey School of Dance and New Dance Group Studio. He has worked with Agnes De Mille, Cathy Dobby, Gwen Verdon, Lee Theodore, Bob Fosse, Debbie Allen, Eleo Pomare, Sophie Maslow, Walter Knickes, Arlene Phillips and Luis Johnson, among others. Richard Pierlon has choreographed at the Latin Quarter in New York; at Bally’s Park Place in Atlantic City; at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas (Mardi Gras Room); at the Sporting Club and the Cabaret in Monte Carlo, France; Brick Hall in Nagasaki, Japan; and in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Saga City, Japan; at the Convention Exhibition Center in Hong Kong; in Israël; and in Amsterdam, Holland. All of Richard Pierlon’s jazz classes combine ballet and modern dance techniques with jazz movements. Emphasis in every class is placed on dance technique and an awareness of the inner meaning of dance. All classes combine technique with acting’s emotional content. Each class warm-up combines ballet, modern and jazz techniques to create Richard Pierlon’s unique style. The warm-up is an essential part of each class : every muscle group is covered. MODERN’CONTEMPORARY NETHERLANDS Golan Yosef The Dutch-born Israeli Golan Yosef started dancing at the age of 7 years old but is also a singer and actor. Graduated from the Higher School of Arts in Classical Dance in 2001, he won third place at the Eurovision Young Dancers Com- petition in London. He danced with several world-renowned dance companies, Scapino Ballet, Compañia METROS, It-Dansa, Le Ballet National Marseille and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. At the same time, he won the first solo dance prize at the International Tanz Festival in Germany. He made his first steps as an actor for in the American tv film «The Cheetah Girls 2» directed by Kenny Ortega and in the Spanish film «No me pidas que te bese, porque te besaré» directed by Albert Espinosa. In 2007, the artist went to New York and entered the «Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet» with whom he played in George Nolfi’s «The Adjust- ment Bureau.» In 2011, Golan arrived in Paris to star in the lead role for the musical «Dracula» directed by Kamel Ouali. Other mu- sicals follow, but this time as singer, «Love Circus» at the Folie Bergère, «Cats» as the Rum Tum Tugger, and in 2017, «Les Trois Mousquetaires», where he played the role of the Duke of Buckingham. 12
JAZZ FUNK FRANCE Jerky Jessy Jessy is a 25-year-old dancer. Since his childhood, dance is for him a way of life, a PASSION. A the age of 15, he decides to take classes at the AMADEUS school in Guadeloupe in order to improve his Hip Hop style. Dancing for many caribeean artists, he turns himself notably into Dancehall. Wanting to improve himself, he decides to live in Paris where he takes Street Jazz classes. He gives many lessons and participates also to some shows and music videos as a dancer and choreographer. He danced for Matt Pokora, Zaho, the video game « Just Dance », Zayra, Djany (Artist Universal Music) for NE-YO’s first part in Alhambra, JONESIC at the Melty Awards and more. Always into learning his art, Jessy has for goal to share his experience as well as his vision of dance to everyone. USA (New York) STREET / HIP HOP RK Davis Ryan, better known as RK Davis, is a Jersey native with a strong infatuation for the arts. Growing up, he has always been fascinated with the arts and knew that a career in this field as an entertainer would be his n°1 pursuit. Building up the courage to fully commit to his passion, in 2007 RK began to train frequently in NYC and decided that the Big Apple would be its new home. RK had the pleasure of working with the greatest US choreographers such as Gil Dulduloa, Luther Brown, Nu Stylz, Rhap- sody James, Tweetie, Dana Foglia, Luam, Nappy Tabz, and more. His experience continues to grow appearing in the Ariana Grande music video “Right There”, the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, various television commercials including the Fiat promo with J-Lo, and has danced live for recording artists Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Shontelle, and Salt -n- Pepa. RK has also entered the role of choreographer, choreographing for a few up and coming artist in the NY area. Most recently RK has assisted with choreography on Ariana Grande’s «The Honeymoon Tour». While continuing to further his dance training, RK is now also venturing off into many other forms of creative expression. Making his own brand «RKDavis Entertainment», Davis is skilled in photography, cinematography, music production, and continues to broaden his spectrum and love for the arts. 13
FRANCE CONTEMPORARY JAZZ Maelle Dufour Born in Angoulême, she started dancing with Katia Seguin in 1996 at the “Atelier de la Danse” and took part in several national and international Dance contests. At the age of 16, she began studies in Contemporary Dance at the Conservatory of Bordeaux. A year later, she moved to Paris to join as a student, the famous Dance School “L’Académie Internationale de la Danse” (AID). After 6 months training at the AID Dance School, she worked as a dancer for the French Musical « Cléopâtre, Dernière Reine d’Egypte » choreographed by Kamel Ouali at the Palais des Sports of Paris. Later, she started working with Tatiana Seguin in the show “The Path of Pearls” for the Prince of Bahrain, and then, triumphed on a French famous TV Dance show “You can dance”. In 2012, she met Romain Rios, choreographer and theatre director of the MAM Company, a radical change to her relationship with dance. She performed as a dancer in many countries such as USA, Japan, Sweden… Then, she became assistant choreographer of the MAM Company for several creations («Olydnad», «Rise» and «Tatoo»). Back to France in 2013, she worked as a dancer for the Musical « Robin des Bois » with the famous French singer Matt Pokora, and was named as a finalist with the MAM Company in the French Dance TV Show “Got to Dance”. In 2015, she won the first role in «Star Cross’d Lovers» choreographed by Yaman Okur, and specialized herself in choreography for the video clip of a Lebanese singer, Asmara. Meanwhile, she’s invited in several Hip hop dance contests such as “Hip hop Game”, “Défipayette”, and improved her improvi- sation skills while still working with the MAM Company. Nowadays, she is dancer in the Musical « Les 3 Mousquetaires ». 14
JAZZ FUNK L.A. STYLE USA (New York) Dana Alexa Dana Alexa was born in Brooklyn, NY and started her dance training at 2 years old. She quickly fell in love with dance and began training seriously and pursuing a professional career at the age of 21. he has trained with the best instructors in the world in hip hop, jazz, street jazz, tap and ballet on both coasts. She has taught hip hop and street jazz to students of all ages and levels, for HS and college dance teams, studios, pro teams, semi-pro teams and more. Dana now has a permanent teaching slot at IDA Hollywood in Los Angeles and travels the world teaching master classes such as Dance Workshop Paris, Epic Dance Showcase, Revel Dance Convention, Just For Kix abd One Million Camp. Dana began her professional dance career by representing the NBA in NYC as a Knicks City Dancer. She went on to dance with recording artist Kat Deluna on her world promo tour. In addition, Dana became Kat’s choreographer and artistic director and choreographed Kat’s world tour for her album Inside Out and also two music videos. She then relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career on the west coast. Dana has choreographed and performed on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live and The Real Housewives of NJ. he has worked with artists like Tyga and Wiz Khalifa. She also assisted choreography for the opening number of the Radio Disney Awards in 2015 for recording artist Natalie LaRose’s hit single «Somebody» as well as for the opening number of the finale episode of So You Think You Can Dance: POLAND. She was featured in a Pepsi Commercial for the superbowl starring Joey Lawrence and Donald Faison and in May 2016 Dana won season 28 of CBS’s The Amazing Race.
