It is one of the largest and Split most fascinating Roman ruins in the world. Ship docked in port. Day 2 - Sunday This peninsular city, known for its Roman and Venetian ruins, holds two thousand years of history within its walls: a Roman forum, baroque Zadar treasures, Romanesque churches as well as its ancient fortifications. Day 3 - Monday Located on a craggy peninsula with a baroque bell-tower that soars above the ochre rooftops of its ancient buildings, the narrow cobbled Piran streets and little port, this is one of the prettiest towns on the Slovenian coast. Day 4 - Tuesday The City of Water is a fascinating blend of architectural styles, its soul intimately woven into its labyrinth of narrow streets and canals, its Venice palaces and bell towers, squares and churches. Ship docked. Day 5 - Wednesday On the water, in the narrow streets or behind the gorgeous facades of its palaces, La Serenissima is a living museum city packed with Venice unique works of art. Day 6 - Thursday Located at the back of the Kvarner Gulf, the stunning houses that line the 11 kilometres of the Lungomare promenade give this seaside Opatija resort, which was very fashionable in the 19th century, a look of the Côte d'Azur. The park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Stretching over Zadar - the Plitvice Lakes 17 kms (10 miles), this string of 16 fabulously crystal clear blue-green lakes flow into each other amid a staggering concert of 92 National Park (day) * waterfalls.
