them are Grant Elliot, who played for New Zealand, and Brandon

Education at St Andrew’s is designed to extend the boys
physically and intellectually. Sport is not an end, but an Emergency Contacts
opportunity for our pupils to work in a team and to develop
qualities of leadership and loyalty. We encourage involvement, Daily Programme

St Andrew’s has a proud sporting tradition dating from the first Fixtures
Cricket match in 1880 which has purpled our pupils representing
provincial and national teams. In 2014 the first Cricket team was
ranked amongst the top ten schools in the country. With Gregg

Hobson leading the way, Saints, according to Cricket South
Africa, ranked among the top schools in South Africa over the POOL B | Team Lists
past five years, based on the results of the 1st XI and under-15A
team. For the school that has only 300 boys, it is an astonishing Playing Conditions
achievement. All our teams entered local league competitions T20
and we have achieved good results against local opposition. Our
boys also have the opportunity to travel away on tours and our Procedure for the

Over the years St Andrews has produced numerous pupils for Appendix 1
provincial or national cricket schools’ teams such as Bokang
Mosena; Lefa Mosena; Sean Whitehead and the latest U19

cricket captain played as an exchange player in the school.

During 2017, the Lindsay Tuckett High Performance Centre, with Conduct
its outstanding Pitchvision technology, became fully operational.
With good reason, the Saints’ cricketing community is hugely
excited about the development of the Lindsay Tuckett High
Performance Centre. Cricket at the school is very healthy, but this
development will provide us with a facility and technology that
has not yet been utilized in a school in South Africa.
St. Andrews were crowned 2018 national Coca-Cola Schools
T20 Champions. They attained this by six-wicket victory over
Hilton College at Tuks Oval in Pretoria.

Appendix 1
Turf wickets were laid down in 1939 and at present Kearsney has
six cricket fields. There are a further 8 turf nets and 4 concrete Appendix 2
nets. There is also an outdoor fully enclosed batting and bowling

The main oval is named after AH Smith, a major benefactor of the Conduct
College, and is set in picturesque surroundings with the Chapel
as a backdrop. In May 1950, the Kearsney Old Boys officially
opened the Memorial Cricket Pavilion in memory of those fallen
in battle.
Kearsney has a rich history of cricket and it is a very popular sport
amongst the 660 boys at the College. From humble beginnings,
the College now fields up to 23 cricket teams each week.

The concept of the South African College was first formed in Cricket Old Boys

Grey High School has a rich cricketing tradition dating back to
the first game in 1861. Many great cricketers have since started Emergency Contacts
there cricketing careers at the Grey. The legendary Pollock
brothers, Aubrey Faulkner, Athol McKinnon, Spook Hanley, Dave Daily Programme
Callaghan, Striker Strydom, Wayne Parnell, Rusty Theron, Johan
Botha and recently Lutho Sipamla are just a few of the many
Old Greys who have gone onto play cricket at the highest level. Fixtures
Graeme Pollock, Grey High’s legendary cricketer, became South
Africa’s “Cricketer of the Millennium”. Grey High has also been POOL A | Team Lists
the nursery for South African Cricket Presidents in Joe Pamensky
and Geoff Dakin, who played such a big role in the unification of
South African cricket. POOL B | Team Lists
We continue to pride ourselves in achieving a balance between Playing Conditions
mass participation and excellence. We are proud to have 14 T20
teams participating in the EP School’s Leagues and many of our
top players gaining selection for Provincial and National teams. Procedure for the
Grey has produced the most South African Schools players Super Over
since unification and recently over the past 4 years we have had
no less than 6 young men represent SA Schools or SA Colts. Appendix 1
In the past 3 under 19 World Cups we have had Lutho Sipamla
(2016)and Matthew Breetkze (2018)and then in 2020 we had Appendix 2
Luke Beaufort and Tiaan van Vuuren as part of the team.
Currently we have many Old Greys making their mark in senior Schools Code of
provincial, franchise and/ or International cricket. Recently David Conduct
White, Matthew Breetkze and Eddie Moore have all represented
the SA “A” team and on the International front we have Colin
Ackerman, who is the Leicestershire Captain and plays for the
Netherlands. Rusty Theron, who has played for SA, recently
made his T20 debut for the USA and Lutho Sipamla who is the
most recent Old Grey to represent the Proteas.

Graeme College has undergone a cricket revolution in recent South African Colts
years, that is directly linked to our relationship with Cricket South K R Smuts Emergency Contacts
Africa as both a Focus School and a Blue Chip Status school.
That relationship proudly continues to grow from strength to South African Rural U17 Daily Programme
strength. CSA have assisted in the purchasing of new pitch rollers A Accom, A Hashe, C Gleaves, S Madlongolwana, V Gana
at Graeme in partnership with Protea Rollers, and continue to
provide financial support, which is used to assist learners with South African U17 ( Cubs Franchise Week) Fixtures
tuition and boarding expenses. As a CSA Focus School we are K Vieira, S Madlongolwana, S Tshona
proud to be recognised as one of the key schools within South POOL A | Team Lists
Africa who are producing excellent cricketers of all race groups. South African T20/ODI
The highlight of our development is without doubt that we are JJ Smuts
being recognised by CSA for the good work that we are doing POOL B | Team Lists
which culminated in being awarded the Blue Chip Status in 2019.
Playing Conditions
In the past year, within the Senior school alone, Graeme College T20
had nine players receive their provincial colours. A further twelve
Junior School cricketers were selected into provincial and Procedure for the
regional teams, meaning a total of 21 players across the school Super Over
represented their province in 2019. Graeme College is probably
better known in the modern era due to the success of Kelly (OG Appendix 1
