SHARING DIVERSITY The Tahiti Cruise Club [TCC] was created in 2009, and is an efficient development instrument of the cruise industry in The Islands of Tahiti. Uniting the main public partners, local government and official services (tourism authorities, port authority, local communities, pilot station, chamber of commerce, Ministries, etc.) and the concerned private companies (cruise shipping agents, shorex operators, suppliers, etc.), Tahiti Cruise Club’s first objective is to simplify cruise-operating procedures and operations, and evaluate all the aspects of the sector within the 5 archipelagoes: receptive, maintenance, regulation, promotion, supplies, environment and traffic, etc. Tahiti Cruise Club’s team remains open to any inquiry regarding options on itineraries and will continue to act as the facilitator between cruise line partners and the local authorities. The peaceful and serene Islands of Tahiti are currently in a dynamic position to continuously improve the quality of their services for the development of the cruising business. PAPEETE PORT AUTHORITY THE FUTURE The Port of Papeete can accommodate up to 3 cruise ships simultaneously, 300 meters long at North Pier, and 350 meters long at South Pier. The Port is ideally located since ships directly land in the centre of Papeete where most of the cultural and tourist attractions are: the Market Place, the handicraft Centre, the Cathedral and Vaiete Place. Since May 2015, cruise ships passengers enjoy the promenade between the wharves and the gardens of Paofa’i. Pricing applicable to cruise ships are accessible on Papeete Port Authorities’ website at www.portdepapeete.pf Special discounts on docking and tugs services can be applied depending on the number of calls operated in a 12-months period. PORT SECURITY ZONE The Papeete Port Authority applies security procedures imposed by the International ISPS code within the scope of vessel security as well as passengers during calls in the different ports of French Polynesia. Access to the cruise ship pier in Papeete is restricted. Scrupulous respect of the ISPS code is one of the port authorities’ priorities.

A canopy will protect a walking trail alongside the Terminal building: everything was designed to allow maximum air and light circulation. The ventilation will mainly be natural. The interior and the exterior of the building will be vegetated to cool it down. The roof, for its part, will integrate solar collectors to supply some of the Terminal's needs. The luggage deposit room is also due to serve for multiple purposes, and it could, for instance, welcome the workshops when outside the presence of ships. Cruise liners currently sit at our docks only 60 days yearly. Installed at 5 meters above ground, the terrace will offer a splendid view on the sea. On the same floor: a restaurant and a lounge area. An office of the Tourist Office will also take its place on this floor. Re-scaled, this Terminal will accommodate large cruise ships (2,000 passengers) and will be capable of handling the traffic of three cruise ships simultaneously. Passengers will enjoy a wide range of services within the Terminal, including free Wifi. A waiting room and a luggage deposit room will be available to them for few hours during which they sometimes have to wait for their flights. This Terminal will be the most modern of all of the South Pacific island countries (besides Australia and New Zealand). Construction work, which started at this second semester 2018, represents an investment of US $18,000,000 and the future Papeete cruise terminal will be operational by 2021.
