“No one shall be left behind along the path towards building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, nor on the way
towards common prosperity.” In light of the features of local natural resources, Everbright Group provided targeted support and

supply chain and innovative products. In February 2020, the three such counties in Hunan Province, i.e. Xinhua County of Loudi,

Attaching Great Importance to Poverty Relief to Bring Warmth to the Poor
“Securities + Futures + Insurance” program lifts China’s “Cradle of Potatoes” out of poverty
Everbright Group always cares about poverty-stricken people and honors its commitment through concrete actions. The Group
conducted a number of field visits to impoverished areas.
Xiji County of Guyuan, Ningxia Province, known as “China’s Cradle of Potatoes”, is one of the key poverty alleviation targets shortlisted
by the State Council. Everbright Securities implemented a “securities + futures + insurance” poverty alleviation program with the support
of the local area’s strength in potato growing. It boosted local farmers’ income through customized insurance and share option products
based on the prices of agricultural products, and enhanced farmers’ resistance against market risks through training on the application
of professional financial quantitative instruments. The program has set up a benchmark for China’s securities sector in poverty alleviation
via innovative financial services.
Promoting industry-driven poverty alleviation to help the poor get richer
