•   15 March 2020 – President Ramaphosa announces the State of Disaster under the Disaster Management Act
•   17 March 2020 – Department of Employment and Labour publish the Workplace Preparedness Guidelines that calls on employers to
    renew OHS assessments and to classify risks at work according to job-type and area
•   17 March 2020 – Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs publishes the regulations in respect of limiting gatherings,
    misrepresenting matters pertaining to COVID-19 as well as compulsory isolation and testing amongst others
•   19 March 2020 – The Minister of Trade and Industry relaxes certain components of the Competitions Act in the interests of addressing

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula will address all transport related queries tomorrow, 25 March 2020, as part of the Justice,
Crime Prevention and Security Cluster media briefing.

President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement of a 21 day lockdown will severely affect mobility in the maritime, aviation, rail
and road transportation sectors.

The Minister will tomorrow provide details on the implementation strategy of the President’s pronouncement.
