Basic professional consulta�on fee (requires Basic Facility

Charge)
Professional consulta�on with licensed personnel, which may
include but is not limited to, expert advice on op�ons to meet your
needs, including essen�al services rela�ng to disposi�on, dra�ing
no�ces, planning scheduling of services, advising regarding
possible government benefits. A Basic professional fee is payable
whenever we provide services to you.
Co-ordina�ng rites and ceremonies $375
Co-ordina�on of all rites and ceremonies, before, during and a�er
they have been provided, including services and supplies provided
by us, as well as those provided by third party suppliers, such as
flowers, catering, memorial cards, registry book, hair dresser (if
necessary) and newspapers/radio no�ces.
Documenta�on – permits, forms, etc. $350
Comple�on and filing of all documents necessary to carry out the
services and supplies requested, including, but not limited to,
burial permit, coroner’s cer�ficate for crema�on, documenta�on
necessary to ship the body out of the country. As part of this
service, we will provide you with 10 proof of death cer�ficates;
Such cer�ficates are usually accepted for most estate se�lement
purposes, but some�mes a provincial Death Cer�ficate will be
necessary and is available from the Office of the Registrar General.
Transport of remains $450
Transporta�on of the remains from one place to another, for
example the hospital to our premises, or from our premises to the
cemetery or crematorium using a transfer vehicle, for distances not
exceeding 30km
*Addi�onal mileage – mileage travelled beyond Elgin/Middlesex
region will be charged at $1.25 per kilometer

The prepara�on of the body for placement into the casket,
including bathing, dressing and the se�ng of facial features for
iden�fica�on or viewing without embalming.
Embalming of remains
(Requires basic preparation of remains) $675
Embalming is the process of replacing blood and bodily fluids with
chemical preserva�ves. It is a process of sanita�on, restora�on and
temporary preserva�on. Embalming is not legally required, but
may be recommended to preserve the body between the �me of
death and the visita�on or disposi�on of the deceased.
Staff services for visitation $200
Staff to coordinate and oversee the standard (4 hours) visita�on
(informal gathering) at our premises.
Minimum visitation fee (2 hours or less) $150
An addi�onal fee of $100 will be charged for staff services to
oversee visita�on at an off site loca�on.
Staff services for ceremony $300
Staff to coordinate and oversee the ceremony or memorial service
at our premises.
An addi�onal fee of $100 will be charged for staff services to
oversee a ceremony or memorial service at an off site loca�on.
FACILITY CHARGES
Basic Facilities $375
Use of our general and common areas, parking lot, public
washrooms, cloakrooms, hea�ng, ligh�ng and maintenance. This
charge applies whenever we provide services to you.
Facilities for preparation/embalming/shelter $400
Facili�es used to prepare, embalm and/or shelter the body; this
charge applies whenever the body is in our facility for any purpose.

Outer Burial Container (Cement Vault) $1050
The purpose of the burial vault is to protect the casket from the
weight of the earth and the equipment used in the maintenance of
the cemetery property. Each cemetery has their own rules and
regula�ons regarding whether or not a vault must be used.
Automotive Requirements
Use of funeral coach, lead/clergy car and service vehicle for the
transfer of the casket from the funeral home to the church and/or
place of burial. Service vehicle is also required to carry out the
necessary document registra�on and funeral prepara�on.

Staff services for an off site recep�on $50 Staff required to for the set up, clean up and general facilita�on of the funeral recep�on at an off site loca�on. Reception facilities $100 Use of facili�es for a recep�on following the ceremony or memorial service, which includes the set up of the facili�es, the use of the facili�es and ameni�es Additional preparation (professional restorative procedures) $100 In some circumstances, addi�onal restora�ve efforts beyond those captured in the standard embalming procedure are necessary to enhance the appearance of the deceased. In such cases, the funeral director will discuss the available op�ons and their cost. Professional restora�ve procedures will be charged per hour. Scattering of cremated remains $100 We will sca�er cremated remains in accordance with Ontario and municipal laws and by-laws on land. Fees for sca�ering from a plane or boat will be in addi�on to this charge and will be discussed upon request. Environmental Service Surcharge $50 A charge for biohazard materials and disposal costs will be made in some circumstances; our professional staff will discuss this issue with you. Refundable Deposit for Cremated Remains $350 When human remains are to be cremated, a refundable deposit will be required to be paid. If the cremated remains are not claimed within one year of the crema�on, the deposit may be used to inter the cremated remains in common ground. If the cremated remains are claimed before they are interred, the deposit will be refunded. Disbursements Disbursements are items arranged for and possibly paid for on your behalf by us. You are expected to pay for these items at the �me the contract is entered into. The following are some items that are o�en iden�fied as disbursements. Coroner’s fee – this is a fee charged by the coroner for issuing a cer�ficate that allows crema�on to take place. The fee is set by the Chief Coroner for Ontario. Clergy honorarium – this is an amount paid to the clergy for their services. In some cases the amount is set by the clergy, in others it is an amount to be determined by you. Newspaper or radio notices – these are charges for death no�ces placed in newspapers or radio or other media outlets. Municipal death registration fee – this is a fee charged by the local municipality to register the death. The fee is set by the municipality and may vary. Flowers – fees charged by Third Party supplier for requested floral tributes. The fees are set by each floral shop and may vary. Photo Tribute Slideshow – a memorial tribute slideshow may be purchased through one of our third party suppliers and displayed during visita�on and/or funeral service. Payment, Financing and Funding We are proud to offer various payments, funding and financing op�ons to our clients. Payment Unless otherwise specified, payment is due within 60 days of signing the contract. Payment may be made by cash or cheque. Payment plans are also available to meet most budgets. If you are prepaying for services or supplies, pre-authorized chequing is also available. Financing Our payment plans give you the op�on of making payments over �me. Funding For your convenience, we offer two funding op�ons when prepaying services or supplies. When prepaying, you pay for the services and supplies today and the money will be used to pay for the services and supplies when they are delivered at the �me of death. Trust: You may pay the money directly to us and we will place it in trust, where it will accrue interest un�l the contract is fulfilled (when the services and supplies are delivered) or the contract is cancelled. Insurance: You may purchase an insurance contract where the proceeds of the insurance contract will be used to pay for the services or supplies at the �me they are delivered or the contract is cancelled.
