CONCOR : IT INITIATIVES Contd… KNOW YOUR CONTAINER LOCATION (KYCL) Know Your Container Location system provides exact location of a container lying at any of the CONCOR terminals to the customer. To capture container locations online in the yard, Wireless Hand held RDT’s (Radio Data Terminals) have been provided at all major terminals. Locations are captured as and when a container is moved from one location to other within the terminal right from arrival to departure. The information gets updated online round the clock in CONCOR Commercial systems and is available to all customers for their container tracking through CONCOR website or through CONCOR Mobile App. 18

(CONCOR) has recently launched a Chat based Mobile Application for Employee Grievance Management System (EGMS) and Customer Grievance Management System (CGMS) for the redressing the grievance of Employee as well as Esteemed EXIM/Domestic Customers. The main objective of this app is to resolve the HR issues of Employees and C&O related issues of Customers on time bound manner with proper communication through auto SMS/Email alert. 22

CONCOR COASTAL SHIPPING CONCOR commenced Coastal Operations w.e.f 10-01-2019 It is operating between Kandla –Mangalore-Cochin- Tuticorin ports Till March’2020, CONCOR has moved 28186 containers through 59 voyages. Coastal service has been kept under suspension from April’ 2020 due to COVID -19 situation. 26

Ice Battery Technology • CONCOR is introducing a passive cold chain technology to Indian markets in name of Ice Battery Technology. This technology adhere the Goods Distribution Practices as defined by WHO. • India ranks one of the top fruits/vegetables/dairy products in the global market, however more than 30% of these products could not reach to the market in healthy condition due to lack of competitive cold chain logistics; cold storage in rural areas. • By converting active cooling to passive cooling, Ice Battery provides uninterrupted, temperature – controlled storage and distribution solutions. • Cold chain technology helps preserve and extend the shelf life of countless perishable products from Agriculture to Dairy to Pharmaceuticals. • Ice Battery technology involves containerized movements under temperature control. These containers are fitted ice batteries and once these are charged, the temperature inside the container is maintained at required level for the next 72 hours with no active refrigeration. The fuel consumption is reduced drastically to make it energy efficient and environment friendly. 31
