CONTACT/NOTES: The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Office of Health Equity (OHE) will be administering $5M from the Centers for Disease and Control Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Grant (totaling $499M) to ~16-30 community based organiza ons led by and serving communi es facing inequi es in COVID-19 impacts and infec on. This funding is intended to advance the State’s work to close racial, ethnic, and other dispari es related to COVID-19 and associated chronic condi ons. Community-Based Organiza ons will use the funding for pilot projects to reduce underlying inequi es in the social determinants of health that have contributed to dispropor onate harm from the Coronavirus among certain communi es. And, just like with the PPP in 2020, borrowers will work through a lending partner (bank or financial ins tu on) approved by the Small Business Administra on. This me, borrowers are divided into two groups: First Draw (for individuals and organiza ons that did NOT apply for/receive PPP round 1) and Second Draw (for individuals and organiza ons that received PPP round 1.) NOTES: San Francisco is deploying a new tool via text messaging to support you in case you test posi ve for COVID. It helps with case inves ga on and contact tracing while linking you to an online ques onnaire about your health, needs for City support, and close contacts who might have been exposed to COVID-19. It is confiden al, just like a phone call from the health department. Anyone who tests posi ve for COVID-19 in San Francisco (and provides a phone number at the me of their test) will receive a text message linking them to an online ques onnaire about their health, their needs for City support, and their close contacts who might have been exposed to COVID-19. Close contacts will also receive a text message linking them to this online ques onnaire, without iden fying who might have exposed them to the virus. In addi on, San Francisco residents who test posi ve and live in highly impacted neighborhoods of the City will receive a phone call from the health department. Anyone whose answers to the online ques onnaire indicate that they need help isola ng safely will receive a phone call from the health department, offering that help. We need all San Franciscans who receive the text message to respond and to let us know if they need our help in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. In a surge with a high volume of new cases, this tool will help us more quickly target our resources to those who need them most. Drop-ins may be limited toward the end of the day, to make sure all tes ng is done properly. Sites may also close if it’s raining. Test specimens need to be kept dry. These sites offer COVID-19 tes ng to minors under the age of 13 with guardian or parental consent. At the test sites, clinicians can also teach parents how to take a sample for their children. You will complete a short intake form with basic demographic and contact informa on at which point you will be checked in and then instructed to enter the le hand line awai ng the tests. The right hand line is for the general public. Results can take up to 3 days.
