COMPLEMENTARY COLOR SCHEME High impact, attention getter! Intense, bright color that is hard not to notice. This color scheme is created by using colors that are opposite from each other on the color wheel. It really helps to get your point across!
ANALOGOUS COLOR SCHEME This group of colors shows harmony. It is created by using colors that are beside each other on the Color Wheel. They seem to go well together because they are all related to each other. Great way to communicate a clear message or mood. PROCEDURES ➢ Select one “color” to paint along with white & black ➢ Sketch out your “design” first ➢ Paint using the one color with “tints & shades” of that color (add white and black) ➢ Remember to only use one “color” with its tints (adding white) & shades (adding black) ➢ This is a one-day project
COMPLEMENTARY COLOR SCHEME High impact, attention getter! Intense, bright color that is hard not to notice. This color scheme is created by using colors that are opposite from each other on the color wheel. It really helps to get your point across!
Complementary Combinations Blue & Orange Red & Green & Purple
2. PROCEDURES ➢ Select your “shaped” design ➢ Sketch out your “6 lined” design ➢ Draw your “shaped” design in the middle ➢ Paint the two complimentary colors “alternately” spaced (blue & orange, red & green, yellow & purple) ➢ Remember you can use tints & shades of each color!
