It is hard to believe it is spring already as Welcome we wind our way through the last few months of the year and hope for some lovely sunny days. Spring is a time for rejuvenation and discovering new things so why not discover something new at the library the next time you visit or the next time you go online. The libraries offer so much more than you think, and other than a few special events, it is all free. Over the next few months why not: • Read something online - a magazine, a book, listen to an eBook. • Read or listen to something written by an author you have never heard of. • Join in on an event or program to learn new skills and meet new people. • Watch a movie online on Kanopy or Beamafilm, all for free with your library card. • Encourage your teenager to come to a WICKED session. • Sign up for a 3D printing workshop. We look forward to seeing you at the library and who knows what you might discover next time you are here. Reader Review - Top Read Library customer Jean has been reading The One Plus One by Jojo Moyes. The One Plus One follows the story of Jess, a quietly heroic single mum whose husband has done a vanishing act. With two children, son Nicky being bullied and a daughter Tanzie, a maths whiz who has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which her mother can’t afford to pay for. Their rescue knight turns out to be very unexpectedly, Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire who owns the holiday which home she happens to clean. He has huge problems of his own. This book is a compelling and poignant story about hope and love, too enthralling to put down. Jojo Moyes at her best. Have you read a good book lately and would like to recommend it to others?
