City of Laredo’s Annual Online Benefit Enrollment is your opportunity to make certain changes to your current benefit coverage elections without having a qualifying event. THEBenefitsHUB is an easy and convenient approach to select your benefit coverage for the year. This will be the 3rd year that the City of Laredo benefit enrollment selections will be online through THEbenefitsHUB website. THEbenefitsHUB gives you access to your benefits 24 hours a day,7 days a week from any device that provides Internet access. (Laptop, Smart Phone, Tablet) THEbenefitsHUB will be open and accessible to you from Tuesday August 25, 2020 – Tuesday, September 8, 2020 to begin your annual enrollment changes. Once logged in, we ask that you review your profile and update demographic information as needed. (Address changes need to be done through your payroll assistant). LET’S GET STARTED!
To access your account log in to the THEbenefitsHUB web address at www.mybenefitshub.com/cityoflaredo
All previous passwords have been reset to default TIP! It is important to play the Login Help Video to better understand the login process. It is also available in Spanish.
You will be required to enter a new password. Keep your password in a safe place. This ensures that you have access anytime during the enrollment period to review your benefit selections.
The Benefits HUB has acknowledgements in place that need to be read and accepted to continue the enrollment process. Step 10
You are now logged in to your account. It’s time to review your profile/contact information. NOTE: Phone number and email must be current. If there has been an update to your home address it is important that you contact Human Resources immediately to submit documentation for your update. This ensures that important benefit information is delivered to you timely.
When adding a dependent, please remember, a valid Social Security Number is REQUIRED if your dependent is an addition to your medical or dental plan. The City of Laredo conducts dependent verification audits to ensure no false information has been entered. If you have questions on eligibility for dependents, please contact the Health & Benefits Division @hrinsbenefits@ci.Laredo.tx.us .
You are now ready to select your benefits for the plan year. Note: You have an option to waive benefits. Should you choose to decline any benefit coverages during the online enrollment window, it may not be reversed until the City of Laredo’s next annual open enrollment. Exceptions to this are only permissible if you have a qualifying event.
Once you select your medical coverage, click on “Sign & Continue”. This will be the continued process to elect all other benefits available.
If you choose to decline medical coverage for your listed dependents, you must select a reason for declination. You may make changes any time during the enrollment period. By choosing a reason for declination you ARE acknowledging that you have been offered coverage and you have VOLUNTARILY declined.
Once all benefits have been selected you will be prompted to view/add/update beneficiaries for your life insurance. Watch the video link to learn the importance of beneficiary selections. For TMRS beneficiary updates please call (956)791-7411 for information.
