BETH EL BASH Construction SAVE A Night THE DATE Update: 3 Phases of Dinner, BY STEVE KAUFMAN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR skaufman@tbeboca.org The Schaefer Family Campus three- phased construction project is well Dancing underway. Phase 1 is complete, and consisted of renovations to the Singer Sanctuary including lighting and sound upgrades, as well as air conditioning and life safety & Comedy improvements to the Atrium. Phase 2 began last month and is expected to take approximately one year. It includes the new lobby and covered drop off, new chapel, new adult learning room, restroom renovations, a new Sisterhood gift shop, and completion of a portion of the new administrative offices. Phase 2 also includes redecoration of the Atrium and Social Hall in the summer of 2018. During Phase 2,the main entrance area and lobby will be closed off, as will the restrooms closest to the main Sanctuary. During this time, all guests will enter the building through the courtyard. RELIGIOUS SCHOOL Spiritual Parenting BY HEATHER EREZ DIRECTOR OF YOUTH EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT herez@tbeboca.org Sometimes, usually in the car, I find myself thinking about my purpose in the universe and connection to God, but it’s so daunting, I tell myself I’ll finish the thought when I have the time. Carving out time to stop and reflect about spirituality is hard between soccer, piano, homework, etc. AMANDA CHARSON If I can’t find time to contemplate this ever-changing thought for myself, Assistant Director of Youth Education and how am I supposed to help my kids connect and nourish their own Engagement spirituality? This is where Temple Beth El comes into play. We are reinforcing their natural instinct to wonder and to appreciate the awesomeness that is around us each day, a trait that tends to fade with age. AROUND BETH EL ADULT EXPERIENCES Making new friends and having fun with old friends is a big part of being a member of Temple Beth El. Through the Adult Experiences initiative, singles and couples in their 40’s and 50’s get together for a fun night out. At the comedy club outing in October, the group started with dinner and Havdalah and then enjoyed a night filled with laughter!
