What? The World’s Largest Environmental Experience? In Dallas? Welcome to Earthx2019! That’s right! With 3 days of exposition on over 500,000 square feet of space, over 600 exhibitors, 400 speakers, nine conferences, a film festival with 60 feature and short documentaries and 137,000 visitors in 2018 – EarthX is the World’s Largest Environmental Experience! EarthX brings together the latest environmental initiatives, discoveries, research, innovations, policies and corporate practices. We connect, educate and inspire people to take actions that create solutions for a sustainable future. Since our beginning as Earth Day Dallas in 2011, we’ve seen the hottest temperatures on record in the last nine years. Every year, the world uses up to 5 trillion plastic bags -- so another 50 trillion plastic bags used in the last decade. We’ve also seen solutions from our country’s clean tech industry with rising from less than 16 GW (gigawatt) of solar capacity in 2009, to now more than 500 GW of solar energy installed across the globe. This year, we’re asking attendees to “take the pledge”. We have six specific initiatives that we believe are simple changes to collectively create a big impact. Look for the six pledge walls at the expo and sign it to show you’ve taken the pledge to change! Another way to “take action” is to join the EarthxLeague by downloading the EarthX mobile app. The EarthxLeague connects you with a knowledge base of information and stories about how people and organizations are at work to create a sustainable world for all life and future generations. You will also find people who share your passion and who are focused on environmental education and awareness. Join us for 10 days of inspiration, learning, activities and sharing ways to ensure we always have enough. With such luminaries as the Jean Michel Cousteau family and Disney Nature being honored at our EarthxGlobalGala to the clean tech startups, politicians and young filmmakers, we are welcoming environmental experts, and thousands of students from across the country. As we anticipate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day in 2020, EarthX is positioning itself and the city of Dallas as the “connector” of corporations, citizens, educators, investors and inventors to provide solutions. Together we can make CHANGE HAPPEN HERE!
