Marca Corona will be exhibiting at Cersaie 2018, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile

collections, the Marca Corona stand will impress and engage visitors from the moment they
enter. The surprises continue right along the exhibition route thanks to a series of strikingly
architectural solutions: guests will be invited to see things from a new perspective and to get
carried away by the sophisticated ambiences of the various settings.
Brand: outstanding quality, competence and ethics stretching back over two centuries
deserve to be preserved and duly illustrated! This is why Marca Corona has taken a look
through its Gallery and identified two elements fundamental for its history – logo and colour
– and given them a modern makeover. This rethink of the corporate image required a fresh
look at all the company’s marketing and merchandising tools, for a more modern approach
to communication, focused on the requirements of customers and partners. In keeping with
a constant desire for growth and improvement, the company has had significant renovation
work carried out on its headquarters in Sassuolo, with important investments in research and
development, technology, human resources and the working environment.

Marca Corona has embarked on a trip to the far north to pay homage to Karin Larsson,

the mother of Nordic Style. Considered by many as the first female designer, Larsson, who
lived in Sweden in the 19th century, was able to transmit her cosy, balanced style to every
element in her own home. What is particularly striking is the painstaking attention to detail,
with furnishings and surfaces embellished with geometric patterns and floral inlay work, as
well as fabrics and yarns featuring stylised graphics in vibrant colours. In the Larsson home,

“Lagom är bäst”, goes the well-known Swedish saying, meaning “not too much, not too little,
just the right amount”, and this is the vision that has inspired Lagom, a graceful, pleasantly
balanced series of ceramics, called upon to reinterpret the concept of wood and to create
new atmospheres for the domestic environment.
Starting from the best-loved and most widely used wooden essence, that is oak, Lagom
enhances the expressive qualities of the wood with new, contemporary shades and stylised
patterns that evoke the sophisticated design of the Larsson home. This minimal, classy
porcelain stoneware collection is complemented with a series of surprising, ultra-modern
decorations.
Features
The Lagom series offers an extremely faithful reproduction of the grain of oak, the wood
material par excellence, with the 15x120cm size closely resembling natural wood strips. Style
research focuses closely on colour, offering a wide, composite range of nuances, conceived
to create plain rug effects or sophisticated colour combinations: the 3 Natural shades (Light,
Blond and Moka) – warm, classic and textured – are joined by the 3 Coated shades (White,
Grey and Black), which are cooler, more modern and with softer, smoother graphics.
For all six colours, the natural surfaces are complemented with two sophisticated Decor
Mixes, inspired respectively by geometric motifs (Linear) and elements from the natural
world (Folk). Each Mix is made up of six different stylised patterns, with graphics centred on
fullness and void effects, studied so they can be mixed to form extremely light, expressive
compositions.

Ossidi
Contact Ossidi’s inspiration comes from the past, from the ceramic workshops of the 19th century,
where metal oxides were used to alter the colour and to create beautifully subtle decorations

In keeping with the experimentation of 1741 Line, Ossidi is a series of small-size floor and wall
tiles with a striking appearance: full, solid colours, novel patterns and original sizes come
together to create entirely new decorative combinations.
Marca Corona highlights the versatility of Ossidi with an innovative product communication
strategy: the Ossidi catalogue is the result of an ambitious re-design project for a home
in Milan, in which the Ossidi cementine tiles were used to transform every room, from the
kitchen to the living area, as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms, resulting in a home with a
uniquely vibrant, post-industrial flavour.

1741 Line continues to grow and to amaze with Ossidi, a collection of porcelain stoneware
floor and wall coverings able to combine full, solid colour, beautiful graphics and original
sizes. In addition to the classic 20x20 sizes, Ossidi offers the innovative 18.7x32.4 cm diamond
shape, an incredibly versatile laying option. To respond to the very latest interior design
demands, Ossidi offers an appealing range of 5 on-trend shades, with the 3 neutral colours
(white, grey, black) joined by two more original nuances, Celeste and Vinaccia. All the shades

Mementa, an evocative name for incredibly expressive 40x80cm white-body wall tiles. The
hallmark of this new Marca Corona series are the highly distinctive textures, able to transmit
surprising visual and tactile sensations. The delicately uneven effects and the material
details already present on the smooth surfaces are enhanced by two relief structures with
a pleasant worn effect. While Marca recalls human action and is inspired by the motifs once
embossed on the back of tiles, Traccia features soft lines and worn graphics with a worn
