My mental health problems almost stopped me from going to university. However, the University has been so supportive, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My lecturers were very kind and always willing to listen. This encouraged me to go to Student Wellbeing, where I saw a counsellor and was given a Study Needs Agreement - with extra time on exams and being allowed to take breaks. There’s also a special programme with links to the NHS so I could see an NHS nurse at the University. Without their support, I wouldn’t have graduated. I am incredibly grateful.
