THE POLICE NEWS VOLUME VI, NUMBER 12 Texas' Largest Police News Publication December 2009 Where is "The Little Christmas Boy?" By Marie Beth Jones WANTED for MURDER N ot all stories about law enforcement are of the “Dangerous, Catch the Bad Guy and Put Him in Jail” variety, and one that occurred in Brazoria County just before Christmas of 1960 falls in that category. The child involved may have been too young to remember it in his later years, but it’s a good bet that several adults still think about it at this season. The story was one I originally wrote for the Brazosport Facts’ column called “Courthouse Corridors,” which covered a wide variety of events dealing with county employees and the people they served. The names of the child and the adults involved were never revealed, but I have wondered during many Christmas seasons since, what the following years might have brought to their lives. I have also wondered about changes in laws that might have altered the MOISES ALVAREZ case, had it occurred today.
