The buildings that have been realised would not be possible without the close collaboration of many teams of people including developers, architects and main contractors.

With over 130 years behind us, our construction experience is a given. We have worked with all types of materials and systems including aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling (stick and unitised) as well as multi-material cladding systems. While we have never formally specialised in one particular type of project, recent years have seen us gain further experience in high-end, high-rise residential developments. In London, these projects often come with their own particular problems such as a closely confined site, restricted access or narrow streets, but our specialist knowledge of the capital enables us to overcome such challenges. F or us, detailed pre-contract consultation is the key to a successful project outcome. It allows our designers and bid teams to work with a client’s consultants to value-engineer a solution that will deliver optimum performance at a best-value cost. M Price has over twenty five experienced designers with a full working knowledge of a wide variety of systems including those from market-leaders. But we also design and fabricate bespoke façade systems and products. Engineering value Being familiar with the standards expected of modern buildings, our designers are able to design-in compliance from the outset, so avoiding problems that can be costly to rectify at a later stage. The result is a building that works on every level, satisfying the needs of the architect, the planner and the client. Which is a reassuring thought for everyone involved.
Right at the cutting edge T hroughout the recession, while our competitors were cutting back, M Price was planning to expand and investing so as to be ready for the eventual market upturn. The result is that we are now better equipped to fulfill the type of large-scale, complex projects that we enjoy the most. Since 2011 we have added an additional 12,000 sq ft of workspace to our factory in Enfield which is dedicated solely to the production of unitised façades (although it has the flexibility to switch to standard production if needed). We are convinced that unitisation is the technology that will allow us to compete successfully with big companies from mainland Europe. In fact, we are already doing so. We are winning major projects in head- to-head competition with European contractors, thereby increasing the confidence of our UK clients in our ability to deliver. Rightly so, because our factory is equipped with cutting-edge technology that makes it one of the industry’s leading production facilities. Here, in addition to aluminium windows, doors and façades, we also manufacture additional items such as balustrades and bespoke architectural metalwork. We are annually awarded a Certificate of Accreditation from Achilles, underlining the robustness of our supply chain. It’s all part of our determination to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients. Because their trust in us is the reason we’ve been in business for as long as we have.

T he construction of a high-rise development in London poses particular problems. Access can be difficult, site-deliveries may face restrictions, simply supplying a site can be a logistical challenge. Fortunately, because of our long association with the capital, M Price remains unfazed by the challenges. Taking Our factory is conveniently close-by and we know the many public bodies whose goodwill and co-operation are needed to avoid delays and timetable disruptions. We are on good terms with many local authorities, we understand local regulations and we are widely known as considerate contractors. installation to Small matters you may think, but getting them wrong can result in substantial delays which can have serious cost implications. On-site, we have experienced site mangers who understand working at height and the many health and safety issues involved. Our site teams are equally skilled new heights and we pride ourselves on the safety of our sites. All of which adds up to real peace of mind for an M Price client. Working on high-rise buildings demands special skills. Our extensive experience in this field means that clients can feel certain of our ability to deliver.
A site-seeing tour Seeing is believing, so they say, so the next few pages are intended to provide visual proof of the quality of the work we carry out.
Maple Quays A landmark building in one of London’s largest residential developments proved an ideal project for the M Price team. 27 storeys high, this tower block acts a gateway to the Canada Water site. Secured against strong European competition, this £21 million overall contract – which includes four other low-rise buildings – will eventually provide 688 desperately-needed new homes. For Ontario Point, M Price had to fabricate over 1,000 3 m x 2.5 m unitised elements in its newly enlarged Enfield factory, a clear vindication of its bold decision to expand despite the recession.
Dalston As main façade contractor, M Price played a key role in this new development. Situated directly above Dalston Junction Overground Station, this residential and The London Overground line extension mixed-use development required vision and considerable technical expertise. Divided into has brought new life and a surge of new two phases, the work involved the fixing of around 21,000 sq metres of cladding panels homeowners to Dalston. in addition to extensive glazing requirements. Square Despite extremely tight timescales, the first phase of the project was completed on-time and on-budget.
Winchmore Re-cladding an existing concrete frame with a new façade was a challenge. The client required a crisp ‘seamless’ glass façade, which resulted in some individual panels weighing as much as 280 kg. In all, over 4,000 sq metres of curtain-walling and anodised rainscreen panels were needed to clad this 80,000 sq ft office block from House lower-ground floor to roof-top terrace. M Price undertook the work as a complete design, supply and installation package. A high-profile building in the centre of a London business hub is given a flawless contemporary makeover.
Djanogly City Academy A new city academy in Nottingham gave M Price the opportunity to work with a renowned international architectural practice. Foster + Partners’ design for the building’s main facade was realised perfectly. This new building has a single roof canopy and features an impressive top-lit internal atrium. Working in partnership with the building contractor, Sol Construction, M Price was tasked with designing and installing a structurally glazed, curtain- wall façade, along with aluminium rainscreen cladding. The opening vents, which were also structurally glazed, were blended seamlessly into the capless façade.
The Emirates The project called for the installation of over 15,000 sq m of glazed façades. Designed by renowned stadium architect HOK and constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine, the Emirates Stadium covers a site of over 17 acres. The stadium can seat 60,000 spectators under a roof Stadium M Price was a major player in the construction of Arsenal Football Club’s prestigious new London home. measuring in excess of 30,000 sq m. The extensive glazing and cladding systems installed by M Price included glazed curtain-walling, entrance doors and sliding doors to all hospitality areas and corporate boxes.
After sales, T he service provided by M Price does not stop when a contract has been successfully completed – it can continue in the form of M Price Maintenance. This specialist sister company ensures that door and window af ter care installations will continue to give trouble-free service year after year. It’s an idea that has proved particularly popular with residential developers who need to provide ongoing maintenance support for tenants and owner- occupiers, but lack the necessary infrastructure to do so. We offer two cost-effective service alternatives: PPM - Preventive Planned Maintenance and RMR - Reactive Maintenance Repairs. The former comprises on-going maintenance cover for an entire building, a number of buildings or individual apartments, while the latter provides differing levels of call-out response to specific problems as and when they occur. We have a dedicated office to receive calls and we react quickly to emergency requests for assistance. Which means that clients who entrust their customers to M Price Maintenance can be confident that they have made a wise decision. This service is not limited to M Price original installations. We also provide on-going maintenance for developers with buildings on which we were not employed.
