Custom Block Placement is determined following these steps: Total Machines 10,000 lbs
1. Total the weights of all machinery shipments, including weight of crates and skids Total Display 5,000 lbs
2. Total the weights of all display shipments, including weight of crates and skids Total Weight 15,000 lbs
3. Add the machinery weight and the display together to obtain the total weight for the booth 37.50 lbs per sq.ft.
Divided by 400 sq.ft.
4. Determine the square footage of the booth (Example: 20’ X 20’ = 400 sq.ft.) (weight density)
5. Divide total weight for the booth by the square footage to obtain the weight density.

Through the initiative of the AMT Board Of Directors, the IMTS Show Committee, IMTS Show
Management and Freeman Electrical Services, all exhibitors, for the first time in the history of IMTS, will
have the ability to budget with certainty for the specific electrical services used for IMTS 2022. IMTS
Show Management along with Freeman Electrical Services are currently in the process of developing
new electrical pricing and packaging for IMTS 2022. This pricing will be introduced at the IMTS Exhibitor
Workshop, January 25-26, 2022 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Il. Exhibitors will have access to the
new packages in the IMTS 2022 e-Kit upon its release in February.
