Cloverleaf Jumper Equitation Finals! Class 601. Cloverleaf Medal Finals - $100 Open to Junior and Amateur riders that have earned at least 6 points in qualifying classes from October 2019 to October 2020. Riders may not be showing in any classes over 3’7 at this show nor have shown over 3’11 for the last 5 years. The finals will consist of 2 rounds over jumper fences over a jumper course with a jumper type ride expected. Judged on hands, seat, guidance and control of the horse. A jumper type horse and jumper equipment is allowed and will not be penalized. A tone/whistle will be used to signal the rider to start their course but no time allowed will be used. After the second round, a minimum of 6 riders will return for additional/final testing. After the finals, meet with the judges and ask about your ride! Winner of the Finals will receive a Golf Cart and a Cooler. Reserve Champion will receive a $1,000 Shopping Spree at TACK WAREHOUSE. Third Place wins a $500 shopping spree at Tack Warehouse Prizes through 12th place. Shopping sprees can not be exchanged for cash. Hunter Classes The courses offered at this show will consist of at least 8 fences with at least two changes of direction. The fences will simulate obstacles found in the hunt field such as brush, post and rails, walls, in & outs, gates, etc. There will be no water jumps. To be judged on performance and soundness. Manners will be emphasized and extreme speed penalized in Junior, Children’s and Amateur classes. Main Hunter is 125’x240’; Hunter 2 is 120’x240’; Hunter 3 is 125’x230’ with sand footing. Management reserves the right to combine or cancel any divisions with insufficient entries. JUMPER CLASSES In all jumper classes, ties for first place will be jumped off. Ties not involving first place will remain tied for the purpose of points and cash awards. First round times, if any, will determine the ribbons. Orders will be drawn per USEF rules. Time allowed is to be based on a minimum speed of 382 yards/minute in all jumper divisions, except where noted. Jumper Ring is 140x250’. Courses may consist of any combination of the following: brush, gates, oxers, post and rails, liverpools, walls, panels, or coops. All horses competing in Jumper classes offering prize money, or in Junior, Amateur Owner, or Open Jumpers, must be recorded with USEF. Management reserves the right to combine or cancel any classes with insufficient entries. Points for non-money classes are calculated 10, 6, 4, 2, 1, 1/2. Attire: Riders are not required to wear Hunt Coats except where noted. Riders must wear collared shirts. ELIGIBILITY: Open to any horse / rider combination. Horses must have entered and shown in at least two other classes over fences in any section at the same show. Riders may show as many horses as they wish. CLASS CONDITIONS: The first round will be a regular hunter classic course consisting of at least ten fences at 3’0” in height. The top 12 entries will return for a second round over a handy hunter course consisting of at least eight fences at 3’0 in height with two option fences at 3’3 in height. Two judges shall sit together and throw one score. After the judges’ score is given, one point will be added for each high option fence jumped (maximum of two points per round). Scores from both rounds will be added together to determine placings. Horses will not be required to jog for soundness. Any unsoundness during the competition will be reflected in the scores from the judges. Winners must ride for awards. Trophy and Ribbon to 1st Place - Ribbons awarded through 8th Place. Prize money divided as follows: 30%, 22%, 15%, 10%, 7%, 6%, 5%, 5%. Special award to high scoring Junior and Amateur in the first round. Northern California Medal Challenge Finals The USHJA Zone 10 Hunter Committee established an exciting competition eleven years ago for qualifiers of medal and equitation classes 3’3 and under in Zone 10! The first and second place winners of junior & amateur medal and equitation classes from all horse show organizations will be eligible to compete in the Zone 10 Northern/Southern Medal Challenge Finals. The Zone 10 Hunter Committee uses these Challenges to promote an introduction to competing in a USHJA/zone event for grassroots riders from all local associations by inviting them compete head to head at a USEF licensed competition. Two levels of competition are offered at the Challenges: Class 700: 3’ Zone 10 Stirrup Cup Medal Challenge Entry Fee: $100 Champion receives a golf cart. Reserve Champion receives $1,000 shopping spree at Tack Warehouse. Third place wins a $500 shopping spree at Tack Warehouse *Shopping spree may not be exchanged for cash Will be held at 3’ and will be open to Junior & Amateur riders that have placed first or second in ANY Equitation or Medal Class 3’3 or under during the current show year. Riders who have won a 3’6 Medal Class are not eligible. Exhibitors may only show at one Championship height, but may show in both the Northern & Southern Medal Challenges. Competition will consist of two rounds over fences for all riders and additional testing of the top 6 (minimum) after the second round. Brookside Fall Finale Conditions & Specifications HUNTERS /COMBINED SECTIONS RATED SECTIONS OF THIS COMPETITION ARE OFFICIAL USEF POINT COMPETITIONS FOR USEF NATIONAL AND USEF ZONE HORSE OF THE YEAR AWARDS PROGRAMS. JUDGED ON PERFORMANCE AND SOUNDNESS. RATED HUNTER COURSES - To consist of at least eight fences with changes of direction. Fences will simulate obstacles found in the hunt field, such as brush, post and rails, walls, in-and-outs, gates, etc. No water jumps. Course diagrams will be posted 1/2 hour before the class. UNDER SADDLE CLASSES - To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. No martingales per- mitted. In HP, A/O and Junior classes, entries may be asked to hand gallop collectively one way of the ring, at the judge’s discretion. No more than eight shall be asked to hand gallop at one time.
