NORDIC The fragrance of fresh wood is something that
takes our minds directly into the nature.
The smell of wood also reminds us of a summer
TIMBER walk in the park or in the woods, or brings back
a memory of a cozy sauna evening.
Palmako products are made of the finest Nordic
Spruce, which is known worldwide for its excellent
properties. Long, cold winters and short summers
of the Nordic countries slow down the growth
of trees, which makes the quality of the spruce
timber extremely durable and ideal for use in
construction.
In addition to its wonderful aroma, it is also worth
paying attention to its beauty - its crisp, light,
northern color and its distinctive grain patterns.

WOOD IS Wood is a living and breathing natural material
and therefore sensitive to environmental
changes. Many natural processes that occur

tree and its natural features.
In rainy or wet weather wood expands, with the
sun and warmth it shrinks again. This phenomena
is also called “playing wood”. This may result in
cracks or other visible changes in the wood, but
will not affect the strength or durability of the
material. In some cases, they may even disappear
when the weather conditions change. Modern
technology allows the wood to be glued (thinner
wood lamellas to be joined with glue) in order to
minimize this play. Palmako uses glue laminated
wooden posts and beams for the construction
of larger garden houses, pavilions, garages and
carports, which are aesthetically pleasing and have
a better load capacity than conventional wood.
Untreated natural wood that has been outdoors
for some time may develop a grey layer as well as
mould. Palmako aims to give its wood products
the longest possible life. Therefore, it is very
important to treat it properly from the start to
protect it from fungi and insects and to prevent
premature rotting. Painting and oiling gives the
wood a protective layer as well as a nice tone
and emphasizes its natural beauty. To make sure
Palmako wood products last as long as possible,
special attention should be paid to the installation,
usage and maintenance instructions that come
with the products.
