Bounty Day FRIDAY 4TH JUNE TO SATURDAY 12TH JUNE, 2021 At first glance it is hard to believe that the vibrant Norfolk Island could have a dark past. Yet during the 19th century the now peaceful Australian retreat was a convict colony, home to criminals who had been banished into exile. Norfolk Island has a rich history. It boasts pristine waters, amazing snorkeling, majestic Norfolk Pines and a world heritage listed backdrop. Bounty Day on the 8th of June celebrates the anniversary of the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders to Norfolk Island and is an important part of the celebrated history of the island.
