2 Important Policies This course is designed for those preparing for ABFAS Foot and Rearfoot Certification and Qualification. Those recertifying with ABFAS and qualifying, certifying, or recertifying with ABPM and/or ABMSP have also found the course helpful. Deadlines and Cancellation Policies for the 2021 Course: • Registration ends for the Online Board Review Course on January 3. After that date, registrations cannot be accepted for the Online Course. • Registration ends for the Classroom Board Review Course on January 14. After that date, registrations cannot be accepted for the Classroom Course. • No on-site registrations will be accepted for the Classroom Board Review Course—there cannot be any exceptions to this policy. • All registrations for the Classroom and the Online versions must be done online at www.goldfarbfoundation.org with a credit card. If you are a resident who is registering for the course, and the residency program is paying your registration fee, make them aware of this policy so they can make the necessary arrangements to pay with their credit card. • When registering online for the course, it is strongly recommended that the person attending the meeting be the person doing the registering. Once your registration is submitted, no changes can be made to your selections. This is extremely important when selecting the version of the Study Guide that you prefer (hardcopy or eBook). • When registering, you can select to have your hardcopy Study Guide mailed to you in advance of the meeting for an additional $25. Upon successful purchase of your course registration, and if you have selected to receive your Study Guide as an eBook, you will be able to immediately download your eBook. From the navigation bar on our website, go to “Store” and “My Account.” On that page, you can download your eBook under the “My Electronic Download” section. Again, once you register and select the version of the Study Guide that you would like, no changes can be made to your registration. • Due to the digital nature of many aspects of the Board Review Course, the Goldfarb Foundation is unable to allow ANY cancellations or refunds for this meeting. If you register and are unable to attend the meeting for any reason, we are unable to refund your registration fee. If you find a replacement to attend the meeting in your place, they will not be issued additional copies of Boards by the Numbers®, Board-Master software, or the 13th Edition Study Guide, and the original registrant will be the person who receives access to the raw videos of the lectures after the conclusion of the conference. Frequently Asked Questions 3 Who should register for this meeting? This meeting is primarily designed for those preparing for an ABFAS exam, and can be helpful to those preparing for the ABPM or ABMSP exam. It offers a comprehensive review of basic podiatric medical/surgical procedures and information. By taking this course, it in no way guarantees the attendee will pass their exam. This course is not intended for those taking the American Podiatric Medical Licensing Examination (APMLE) Parts I, II, or III. Past attendees have included those who need to earn a large number of CE Contact Hours, DPMs preparing for state licensing boards, and those podiatrists who want an overall review of podiatry. What are the differences between the Classroom and Online versions of the course? Whichever way you participate in the 2021 Board Review Course, you’ll be watching the lectures live, in real- time. The main difference between the versions is your location. You can choose to travel to Phila- delphia or stay at home and watch the lectures on your computer, live. The Classroom Version is the only aspect of the Board Review Course that offers the CBPS Experience. Registration for the Online Course will end on January 3, and does not have a limit to the number of participants. The Classroom Version registration will end on January 14, and at-door registrations WILL NOT be accepted. If I am recertifying in 2021 or 2022, what should I do? If you are recertifying in 2021, we suggest the Online Recertification Prep Course, a self-paced study program combining our online lec- tures, recorded at previous Board Review courses, the Foundation Study Guide book, and Boards by the Numbers software. See preceding page and visit www.goldfarbfoundation.org for more details. If you are recertifying in 2022 or later, we recommend you attend the Board Review Course the year before you plan to take your test. The course will provide you the information you’ll need for your exam, and give you the tools to study the year in-between the course and your test. I already registered for the course and now found out I can’t attend. How can I cancel my registration? The Goldfarb Foundation is unable to allow ANY cancellations or refunds for the 2021 Board Review Course, either Classroom or Online versions. If you find a replacement to attend the meeting in your place, they will not be issued additional copies of Boards by the Numbers, Board-Master software, or the 13th Edition Study Guide, and the original registrant will be the person who receives access to the raw videos of the lectures after the conclusion of the conference. How do I receive my Boards by the Numbers and Board-Master software? When the Foundation receives your course registration, the membership category you selected will be verified and your registration processed. Your contact information will be sent to both BBTN and Board-Master, and in turn each will send you a separate e-mail with access instructions. Please allow 2 weeks from the day of registration for this process to occur and to receive the e-mails from BBTN and Board-Master. If you have not received your instructional e-mails 2 weeks from the date you registered for the course with the Foundation, please contact the appropriate company directly: BBTN at tonydallalio@gmail.com; Board-Master at admin@board-master. com. CBPS Experience & Lecture Library 13 CBPS Experience The Foundation is keeping in line with the revised format of the Mock Oral questions for the Board exams by including Computer-Based Patient Simulation (CBPS) mock questions with Classroom version registra- tions. The CBPS Experience replaces the Mock Oral Consults, and utilizes the Board-Master software program. These computer-based questions are scheduled in 30-minute sessions from 6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. on Thurs- day, January 21. Each Classroom attendee who registers to participate in the CBPS Experience will receive one Computer-Based Patient Simulation question per session from the Board-Master question bank. Registrants are not automatically signed up for their complimentary CBPS Experience. When you register online, you are required to choose whether you want to take advantage of this or opt-out. One additional ses- sion, with one CBPS question, may be purchased at $250. CBPS Experience-Only The CBPS Experience-Only is designed for those who do not need to attend the entire Review Course but instead want to focus only on preparing for the CBPS aspect of ABFAS certification. The CBPS Experience-Only participants are scheduled in back-to-back, half-hour increments beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 21. The CBPS Experience-Only session is comprised of: • Two sessions, each session lasting one half-hour for a total of one-hour for the two sessions. • Within each session, you will have the opportunity to complete one CBPS question. • From the bank of Board-Master questions, you will be able to select from a Rearfoot, Foot, or BONUS question (applies to both Rearfoot and Foot). • Participants can purchase one additional session for $250, which would be one additional question from those listed in the bullet point above. If you do not need to practice with a Rearfoot, Foot, and BONUS question, you should not add the additional session to your registration as only a total of three questions will be available. • Those who purchase the CBPS Experience-Only may participate in the “Anatomy of a Question” lecture on Thursday, January 21, from 3:45 p.m.–6:30 p.m. No CE Contact Hours are available for CBPS Experience-Only participants. Lecture Library The Online Lecture Library contains lectures recorded during previous Board Review courses. The purpose of the Lecture Library is to provide study aids to those preparing for their ABFAS, ABPM, or ABPMS exams but cannot participate in the Board Review Course. These lectures are also a great way to earn a lesser amount of CE Contact Hours for re-licensure purposes. The lectures range from .5 (30 minutes) to 1.5 CE Contact Hours (1 hour, 30 minutes). From the time of pur- chase, you will have 30 days to watch the lecture (viewed on the Foundation’s website) and complete the quiz to earn the credits.
