Money matters: Everyday banking Your ANZ Extras Package starts with an everyday bank account that delivers all the flexibility and additional features you deserve. You get unlimited everyday ANZ transactions and you can transact via ANZ branches, over the phone, online, by cheque and EFTPOS. To make things simple, the only time you’ll incur additional ANZ fees on your ANZ Extras Package account, is if you try to or do overdraw your account and/or transact overseas4. The ANZ Extras Package account also comes with Visa Debit card access. That gives you the convenience of shopping anywhere Visa is accepted, but doing it with your own money. Protection: Mobile phone insurance So, you’ve accidentally dropped your mobile phone and smashed it. Or you were running late to a meeting and left your mobile phone in a taxi. Too bad. You’d better go buy another one. It’s only money. But if you’re an ANZ Extras Package member and you had registered your phone you would have been covered. It can be expensive if you need to replace or repair your mobile phone, sometimes even more so if the phone is included in a mobile phone contract with your network provider.8 And it’s not just accidental damage that is covered, it also covers accidental loss and theft. Simply register your phone within 30 days of taking out your ANZ Extras Package, and 14 days later you’re covered.

Protection: Domestic travel insurance You’ve been stuck in the terminal eating (and paying for) airport food during a seven hour delay, although the sour taste is actually caused by your bags being stolen. Eventually you are on the flight, a missed connection; your cruise ship was through the heads before you even reached the dock. Hardly a postcard perfect start. While we can’t ease the frustration, as an ANZ Extras Package member you’re covered for all of the above. Just be thankful you didn’t have an accident in the rental car; although if you did, you’d be covered for that too. In fact, you (as the primary account holder), your accompanying spouse and children are covered for domestic travel insurance for multiple private trips a year.
