Looking Forward Listed below are the trends and opportunities which we feel shall define the Indian technology sector going forward. Telemedicine and Telehealth Healthcare systems around the world are trying to bring down the exposure to Covid-19 for both patients and healthcare workers. Telehealth offerings like doctor video chats, AI-based diagnostics and no contact medicine delivery have allowed doctors to connect with their patients albeit in a much safer environment. With growing popularity of such solutions, we may see long-term changes in the regulatory frameworks & standards in healthcare industry. Cyber Security Mesh With more and more businesses adopting a hybrid working approach, the way organisations deal and enact cyber security shall undergo a change. Centralized cyber security strategy i.e. building a single 'perimeter' around all devices in a IT network shall need to be upgraded to a more decentralized approach with an aim to protect the identity of each node in the IT network. Tools like cyber security mesh provide CIOs to manage data in their organization in smaller manageable chunks & allows greater control through things likes asset verification and validation, cryptographic services etc. Augmented Customer With cutting edge Augmented Reality technologies being widely available in the market, businesses shall stive to improve customer experience through personalization aimed at prospective buyers. Many business especially in the retail industry have already grabbed on to these technologies. E.g. IKEA’s place app allows users see the brand’s products in a superimposed graphics environment. Nike’s Fit app allows users to get recommendations for best-choice shoes according to their feet measurement.
