S I T UAT I O N
Beere Manor is set on high ground and has open outlooks over the
surrounding landscape. Found at the end of a long country lane,
shared by a neighbouring farm and a few other properties, the house
is within easy reach of the nearby village of Cannington where there
are several shops catering for most daily needs, five public houses,
some with accommodation and restaurant facilities, a health centre,
agricultural college, two churches and a village hall, as well as a
primary school in the centre of the village. Bridgwater is to the west
and has several well-known supermarkets and traditional shops within
the town providing good day-to-day amenities and a college. Taunton,
the county town of Somerset, is renowned for its independent schools,
including Taunton School, King’s and Queen’s Colleges and the
Richard Huish Sixth Form College. Taunton is also the home of the
County Cricket Ground and there are good out of town stores and a
cinema and bowling complex. The nearby Quantock Hills provide
endless walking and riding countryside and magnificent views can be
enjoyed from heather topped beacons.

The M5 motorway can be joined at Bridgwater, North Petherton
and Taunton. The nearest railway station is at Bridgwater with the
main intercity line connection at Taunton with fast trains to London
Paddington scheduled to arrive within an hour and forty five minutes.
Cannington also has a bus service. Bristol airport is within an hour’s
journey providing both national and international flights and Exeter
airport is also within easy reach. For those wishing to travel to the
continent by ferry, there are ports at Plymouth and Southampton.
