OUR STORY
The AKW story began in 1982 after one of our
founders had been trying to find a shower tray to meet
his mother’s needs without success. In frustration, he
produced and patented one of his own design. Since
then, AKW has become an international business and
the UK’s leading manufacturer of accessible bathrooms,
kitchens, and daily living products.
Today, we are still driven by the same principles
on which the business was founded; to support
independent living and develop superior products that
are practical, safe, beautifully designed and improve
quality of life.
We are proud of our heritage, with care and family
threads that still run through our ethos today;
caring for our customers and achieving a family feel

When planning this striking concept, we were inspired by the deep hues of blue
which are increasingly popular at the moment. We paired this with subtle silver
and gold accessories, delicate plants and natural timbers to give this room a bold
aesthetic but with a warm, inviting feel.
