However, their operation and programming were usually very complicated, the functionality limited and mostly designed only as a work-alone speaker. We are convinced that loudspeakers and electronics should be developed and operated together as integrated systems and at once. This ensures that our users and installers always achieve the maximum performance with best efciency possible. All devices should be connectcted in one network. All loudpeakers should be fully steerable, including subwoofers. One Brand, two Divisions. The high level of technology requires specialized and independent divisions. The division for CADAC digital mixing consoles is based at Luton, Bedfordshire (UK). The division for professional loudspeakers, digital controllers and power ampliers operates with a separate competence center and branch ofce in Germany.

Conventional. Conventional Speakers and Column Systems. Conventional systems are based on xed vertical coverage. High sound pressure is needed to reach all listener areas, which even increases the reection problems. Stage Coverage Conventional Speakers and Column Systems Limited long-throw efciency and reections from walls, ceiling, balcony and oor Conventional Line Array Systems. Line array systems have been state-of-the art for a long time. However, such directional sound systems are mostly based on mechanical curving. The resulting problems in the acoustics were compensated as best as possible by electronics. The acoustic results were usually good enough only in low-reection rooms or outdoors. But especially indoors, line array systems show several disadvantages. Fullrange Beam Steering. CADAC Beam Steering Systems. CADAC beam steering systems provide high-end audio performance, unmatched beam forming precision, selective sound distribution and an all in one software solution with a most simplied user interface. Reections can be reduced to a minimum, while the speech intelligibility is improved signicantly. The vertical opening angle can be adjusted by software, while the coverage is accurately adjusted to the listener area(s). The all in one software enables always for best possible results, even in acoustically very demaning rooms. Stage Coverage CADAC Beam Steering Speakers Reducing reections from walls, ceiling and oor to a minimum, delivering exceptionally even sound pressure levels and audio quality from the rst to the last row, offering more direct sound and very high speech intelligibility while reducing disturbing sound outside of the listener area. CADAC Multi Beam Technology. In larger scenarios with two or more listener areas, CADAC beam steering systems can project independent beams to the listener areas. The user does not need to calculate anything: Add audience areas to the software and run the optimizer. The software will send the required beam forming information directly to the DSPs inside the loudspeakers. In larger system congurations, cardioid subwoofers can be added rear to the main system, which will reduce unwanted sound pressure behind the speakers (on stage) and will improve the lower mid frequency distribution at the front. A Masterpiece of Engineering. System Control, Digital Audio, Premium Technologies and Automatic Rigging. Audio and Command Connectivity All models include DANTE©, AES3 and C-LINK interfaces. The analog inputs are equipped with dual range A/D converters, which enable more than 138 dB S/N ratio. Three redundancy levels with automatic input switching in redundancy mode ensure for a very high operational safety. The on-board Gbit switch enables the connection to ethernet interfaces of MCU. Analog C-LINK Protocol The C-LINK protocol is a unique combination of digital audio, command and control – all via just one wire. The C-LINK interface is available in all loudspeaker models including subwoofers and shows one RJ45 input and one RJ45 link connector (to the next cabinet). The protocol includes daisy chaining, which allows for automatic system detection and connects all devices in a group of loudspeakers. With the CA124, even at most demanding and complex sound installations can be realized. The combination of mapping optimization and direct array denition is the most comprehensive and powerful loudspeaker management system on the market. The CA124 is a self- powered 2-way high-end beam forming array loudspeaker, which features 12 x 4" Max. 10 x CA124 = 14.8 Meter Acoustic Length wideband woofers and 36 x 1" dome tweeters. Due to the fully integrated connection hardware, the column can be stacked to realize larger systems with up to 14 meters of acoustic length. With the X606, even at most demanding and complex sound installations can be realized. The combination of mapping optimization and direct array denition is the most comprehensive and powerful loudspeaker management system on the market. The X606 is a self-powered 3- way high-end beam forming array loudspeaker, which features 6 x 6.5" ported woofers for LF, 12 x 3.5" woofers for the MF and 24 x 1" dome tweeters for the HF. The X606 can be used as single cabinet with programmable vertical dispersion (point source functionality) and as beamforming array for xed installation as well as for mobile applications. If one X606 is combined with one X606-CARDIOD cabinet, the system will have cardioid dispersion for the LF range. The array is used as straight line in most applications as the coverage on listener areas is adjusted by beamforming. Due to the fully integrated connection hardware, the column can be stacked to realize larger systems with up to 10 meters of acoustic length. S215 2 Channel High Performance Subwoofer 2 x 15" Conguration, 4000 W (RMS) S215 | 2 Channel Dual 15" Subwoofer The S215 is a self-powered high-end subwoofer, which features 2 x 15" ported woofers. The power output of 4000 W (RMS) ensures for very high SPL down to a frequency of 40 Hz. It can be combined with all products of the CADAC© range and be used as subwoofer extension in ground stack conguration for point sources or line arrays and can be also used as ground stack horizontal subwoofer array. The DSP-electronic has 2 power ampliers and 2 DSP channels. Internally, one S215 has 2 amplier and 2 DSP channels. The CADAC DSP-core module platform is integrated with the amplier section into the loudspeaker. Cabinets are electrically connected by the CADAC C-Link audio and command interface. The CCP control and prediction software can connect to the array via LAN for command and control, Auto-EQ and to calculate sound prediction on listener areas. With the CMAP (mapping optimization mode), the dispersion can be adjusted and optimized according to the listener area for the application of subwoofer arrays. CMAP enables to create arbitrary radiation patterns for the listener area with ground stack horizontal arrays. Applications The S215 was developed for xed installation as well as mobile sound reinforcement and can be used for low frequency transmission in acoustically very demanding venues.
