Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Martin, and I’m very excited to be joining the team in the new year. I have worked in disability arts for the last 10 years, specialising in drama, physical theatre, singing and musical theatre. My degree is in Performing Arts, which I think gives me a pretty good foundation for my current work! I also have a PGCE in post-16 education and a diploma in Music Theatre Performance. I have two little boys at home, so both my work and home life are pretty busy, and that’s the way I like it! When I do have any spare time, I love to read, as well as binge on a good box set! If you would like to join Rachel we have spaces available on our Wednesday Evening PERFORM IT! Group. 6.30pm – 8.30pm or join through Zoom Only ( 6.45pm- 7.45pm) Fee for the 10 week term £60.00. We offer a FREE taster session, so book yours with the Bloomin’ Arts office on info@bloominarts.org.uk or call 01342 836785 What’s Been Happening at Bloomin’ Arts this term? What’s been happening at Bloomin’ Arts this term! Theatre Company News. December 2021 Hello Everybody, What an interesting year we’ve been having. Despite all the challenges the Theatre Company have been really busy. We may have been disappointed not to do our performance with Lingfield School or be a part of the Brighton Fringe Festival but we put all our energy into learning how to work together on Zoom and make a Film! Our filmed version of The Tempest is nearly ready…how exciting! We have researched the play, rewritten Shakespeare, adapted it for filming on Zoom, found our own costumes, become amazing characters and now Helen is learning how to edit on Premier Pro. Incredible fun., So what next? We have discussed possible projects and are keen to explore Radio Drama. This we can research and produce either in the room or on Zoom. Also the Theatre Company members are hoping to help promote Bloomin’ Arts as an organisation with everything from social media to presentations. Sending you all our best wishes.
