Entrepreneurs’ Programme (EP) Innovation Connections Innovation Connections connects your SME to expertise, technology and advice to meet your research and development needs Innovation Facilitators are experienced in identifying and addressing knowledge gaps preventing business growth and can provide: • A report containing tailored information and options • Referrals to other business support programmes & services • Links to existing knowledge and solution providers • Identification of existing research activities and support to connect businesses to research organisations to create innovative products, processes and services • Ways to improve access to STEM expertise

Entrepreneurs’ Programme (EP) Commercialisation Case Study – Stormseal Industries Pty Ltd Stormseal developed a patented light weight plastic film that can be used to cover a damaged roof or wall with heat application It can be used as a superior alternative to tarpaulins in the protection of both homes and other premises in times of catastrophic weather events, during construction or whilst making an insurance claim Grant: Stormseal received a grant of $450,000 in April 2016 to commercialise Emergency Storm Damage Protection for Homes and Businesses

Help to Reduce Your Emissions Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) The ERF is a $2.55bil voluntary scheme that aims to provide incentives for a range of organisations and individuals to adopt new practices and technologies to reduce their emissions The ERF operates alongside existing programmes to reduce Australia's emissions growth such as the Renewable Energy Target and energy efficiency standards on appliances, equipment and buildings. This will help achieve Australia’s 2020 emissions reduction target of five per cent below 2000 levels How to Participate 1. Apply by registering yourself and your project 2. Secure a contract with the Australian Government by participating in an auction 3. Run your project according to the method you have chosen. Report on your project and ensure it is audited when required 4.
