Deep, rich and enormously complex, loaded with ripe currant, black cherry, blackberry, anise, cedar and spice, with a long, lingering finish that keeps pumping out the flavors.--California Cabernet retrospective. No longer available in retail. Donated by Lorri Jean & Gina Calvelli Buy it Now: $125 2. 1998 Justin Isosceles Cellar Tracker 92 No longer available in retail. Very concentrated and deep for a 1998, the Justin Isosceles is blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc and 16% Merlot. The wine is elegant in the mouth, with layers of dark, spicy fruits, toasted oak and soft, silky tannins. It will be drinking excellent over the next 5 to 7 years. A sure cellar star...or hang it on the wall with the moosehead. A deep garnet color with purple hues. After swirling the glass, vanilla, raspberry and cassis aromas complement initial impressions of cedar, blueberry, toasted oak and spices. The wine has a soft and full entry. The acidity that follows the entry balances the wines compact tannic structure and higher alcohol level. As the wine develops, the fruit and oak become more pronounced, creating a long and predominantly raspberry and toasted oak finish. Donated by Lorri Jean & Gina Calvelli Buy it Now: $175
3 2000 Marquis de Terme – Bordeaux - Margaux 92WS Hailed as a Bordeaux “vintage of the century," the 2000 Marquis de Terme is drinking wonderfully now. It has a dense, ruby/purple color and a sweet nose of berry fruit, earth, licorice, and new oak. Medium-weight with good concentration and purity. Perfect for an elegant dinner. A powerful, big volume of wine - very rich tannins and full fruit. Complex. Donated by Lorri Jean & Gina Calvelli Buy it Now: $100 4. 2000 Niebaum-Coppola "Cask" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon The Cask Cabernet is uniquely American born of estate Cabernet Sauvignon aged in American oak puncheons. This wine is defined by its legacy and grace. Exhibiting the fine character of the soils that were recognized so long ago for the unique flavors they impart. This wine reveals a richness, structure and complexity that is rare in any wine. Average score 90 points. Donated by Scott and Laura Brown Buy it Now: $125 5. 2001 Lynch Cabernet Sauvignon - Magnum Cellar Tracker 95 No longer available in retail. Make your whole table happy with this elegant magnum! Brilliant ruby red hue. Black currant, plum, licorice and oak aromas. Medium-full with very good concentration, this is ripe and plush with structured tannins and nicely integrated oak. Winemaker Heidi Barrett! No longer available in retail. Donated by Lorri Jean & Gina Calvelli Buy it Now: $300
6. 2002 Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne 98 points Wine Enthusiast This is an exceptional wine, as is the vintage. The fruits - grapefruit, crisp red apple - balance with a fine yeasty character. There is a great depth of flavor, the fruits going in a pure line of freshness. The one problem is that it is much too young, the result of the demand from the market for the next vintage. Age this wine for at least four years. 100 points Wine & Spirits If a wine could ever make you want to pull the top down on your '68 Ferrari convertible, rip off the rearview mirror and take off, this is it. It has a different kind of energy than the '02 Cristal Rosé, which is more ethereal, like strawberries at the right hand of some ancient Gallic god. This is more insolent, brash, earth bound. All the scents and flavors seem to emanate from limestone, as does the acidity, which hits at the front of the mouth and powers through the wine with the kind of solar energy that lifts mist off the white chalk on a cool morning in Cramant. The wine goes on for miles. It's already irresistible, and will only improve with ten, 20, 30 and 40 years of age. Donated by Scott and Laura Brown Buy it Now: $400 7. 2002 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend 99RP, 95WS, 94ST SOLD OUT RETAIL 99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The nearly perfect 2002 Proprietary Red Wine is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and the rest dollops of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. This exotic, full- throttle, nearly over-the-top red wine’s intensity, richness and smoky coffee notes intermixed with notions of chocolate, graphite, and jammy blackberry and black currant fruit ooze from the glass. This rich, concentrated beauty tastes more like a top-notch, young Right Bank Bordeaux from a vintage such as 2009 than a wine dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon. With stunning purity and awesome potential, it can be drunk now or cellared for another two decades. (RP) (6/ 2012) 95 points Wine Spectator Displaying extraordinary aromatics, this shows a wealth of flavor, finesse, richness and grace. Pure, sleek cherry, berry and pomegranate notes are woven together with enticing floral scents. Keeps gaining depth and dimension without weight. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.—2002 California Cabernet blind retrospective (May 2012). Drink now through 2022. (Web-2012) 94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Full medium ruby. Brooding, medicinal aromas of black fruits. Sweet, chewy and deep, with flavors of dark berries, violet, minerals and game freshened by harmonious acidity. Finishes long and ripe, with fine, sweet, building tannins. Green notes that the merlot in this blend is actually tighter and less fleshy than the Cabernet. (6/ 2005) Donated by Tim Dang and Darrel Cummings Buy it Now: $400
8. 2004 Dom Perignon Brut 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Lily-of-the-valley perfume and scents of lightly toasted brioche and almond rise from the glass of 2004 Dom Perignon Brut, along with hints of the apricot, pear and grapefruit that then inform a luscious and creamy yet strikingly delicate as well as consummately refreshing palate. Sweet-saline savor of scallop – also already intimated in the nose – lends compulsive saliva-inducement to a ravishingly rarified and persistent finish, joined by alkaline, nutty, liquid-floral, and nori seaweed notes for a performance of head-scratching subtlety and intrigue. This will be worth following for at least the next 6-8 years, in the course of demonstrating that iconic status as a luxury brand, and elevated (albeit secret) production numbers by no means preclude a wine of understated as well as profound beauty. Donated by Scott and Laura Brown Buy it Now: $220 9. 2005 Chateau Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 93ST, 92RP, 90WE Wait listed for availability. 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Good deep ruby-red. Complex aromas of currant, licorice, graphite, bitter chocolate, smoked meat, tobacco and brown spices. Began juicy, penetrating and quite youthfully uninvolved, but aeration brought a suppler, rounder texture and more generosity to this impressively structured wine. Complicating notes of bitter cherry, menthol and minerals. This will require a good eight to ten years of aging but the substantial tannins are sweet and lush. Very long, pure and powerful on the finish. (6/ 2008) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The flagship wine, the 2005 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon Estate displays a lovely perfume of fresh herbs, loamy soil, black cherries, and black currants. Spicy and very Bordeaux-like in this vintage, with high tannins, a cool climate freshness, and a leaner personality than is found in riper vintages, it will benefit from 1- 2 years of cellaring, and should drink well for two decades or more. (12/ 2008) 90 points Wine Enthusiast Quite rich and exotic, with complex, appealing flavors of cocoa puff, mocha, buttered cinnamon toast, blackberry granola and smoky cedar. The richness finishes drily, but they wine is very tannic, giving it a lock- down astringency. Needs time. (3/ 2010) Donated by Lorri Jean & Gina Calvelli Buy it Now: $200
10. 2005 Peter Michael "Ma Belle-Fille" Knights Valley Chardonnay 94RP, 93ST, 91WS No longer available in retail. 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "...orange blossoms, hazelnuts, brioche, smoke, and honeysuckle along with some peach notes are present in the full- bodied, beautifully well-delineated, pure, zesty 2005 Chardonnay Ma Belle-Fille. There are only 1,600 cases of this wine, which has superb uplift and vibrancy." (12/2007) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Hazy gold. Rich, smoky scents of baked apple, yellow plum and melon, plus a strong iodine accent. Restrained citrus and orchard fruit flavors are complicated by smoked meat and mineral accents, with a hint of tropical fruits on the strikingly persistent finish. A bright mineral snap and jolt of licorice adds eye-opening focus." (05/2007) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Pure, rich and focused, showing a mix of ripe pear, apple and mineral flavors, with floral, fruity aromas that give this a distinctive quality. Turns delicate, flinty and refreshing on the finish." (06/2007) Donated by Tim Dang and Darrel Cummings Buy it Now: $150 11. 2005 Shafer "Relentless" Napa Valley Syrah 93RP, 92WS, 90ST This vintage is sold out. 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The sensational 2005 Relentless boasts an opaque purple color along with a wonderfully sweet nose of blackberries, creosote, acacia flowers, and hints of pepper and meat in the background. Full-bodied and densely concentrated with the oak component well-concealed by the wine’s extravagant richness, this gorgeous 2005 can be drunk now or cellared for 10 years. (12/ 2008) 92 points Wine Spectator Brimming with spicy, zesty wild berry, pepper, mineral and fresh earth flavors presented in a tight, focused, concentrated manner. Finishes with firm tannins and good length. Syrah and Petite Sirah. (12/ 2008) 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Saturated ruby. Musky, very reduced nose. Suave on entry, then pliant and sweet, with a plush texture and a smoky nuance to the red and dark fruit flavors. Finishes with ripe tannins and very good length. (12/ 2008) Donated by Tim Dang and Darrel Cummings Buy it Now: $125
12. 2007 Cayuse Bionic Frog Syrah, Walla Walla 95WS, 95RP, 95ST No longer available in retail. 95 points Wine Spectator This has tremendous presence, graceful but forceful, playing out its flavors of plum, currant, black pepper and licorice against a background that hints at warm granite, cinnamon bark and bay leaf. Complex and harmonious. (6/ 2010) 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The Cayuse 2007 Syrah Bionic Frog emphasizes sappy, bittersweet, dark berry and herbal concentrates on a palate whose plushness, viscosity, and fine grain of tannin resemble those of Cailloux from the same vintage tasted alongside. Brown spices, peat- like smokiness, and medicinal elements that straddle the borders of mineral, herbal and fruit character all lead to a superbly long, soothing finish that contrasts with the burst of enervating finishing energy in the corresponding Cailloux. (12/ 2012) 95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Knockout nose and palate combine blackberry, smoke, black olive, garrigue, spices and pepper. Dense, round and opulent in the mouth, with a spectacularly silky texture to the middle palate. Finishes with sophisticated dusty tannins and outstanding palate-saturating length. This wine's superb slow-mounting whiplash of perfume is something to experience. (12/ 2010) Donated by Tim Dang and Darrel Cummings Buy it Now: $450 13 2008 Clos Pegase, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 92WE, 91CG 92 points Wine Enthusiast This wine is another rewarding Cabernet from a winery with a great track record over the years. Blended with some Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it's dry and ultrasmooth, and while the tannins are thick, they're sweet and ripe. The blackberry, cherry, blueberry and cassis flavors have a rich, fleshy opulence. Drink now–2015. (4/ 2012) 91 points Connoisseurs Guide *Two stars* Bright, fragrant and built around a mix of curranty and slightly berryish fruit with nicely fit nuances of spice and creamy oak, this wine is both fully ripened yet light on its feet. In the mouth, its keen focus on varietal fruit is again augmented by a light berryish note and by rich oakiness in flavors that are continuous, accessible and just tight enough at this writing to suggest further expansion with some four to six years of patient cellaring. (4/ 2012) Donated by Lynn Waggoner Buy it Now: $80

19 2009 Starmont Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley Double Gold Medal Winner, 2013 SF Chronicle Wine Competition Robert Parker's Wine Advocate A pretty, entry-level offering, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Starmont is laced with sweet red berries, flowers, spices and licorice. This mid-weight Cabernet puts a premium on juiciness and approachability. It is a delicious wine to drink now and over the next few years. Even better, it is a terrific value. The blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11 % Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017. (12/ 2012) K&L Notes Quality fruit was sourced from across Napa Valley for Merryvale's 2009 Starmont. The wine was aged for 16 months in 25% new French oak before being bottled. 21. 2010 Chateau La Papeterie Montagne Saint-Emilion (Magnum) 91 James Suckling Signed by the winemaker. Elegant, Black Cherry, Earthy, Medium-bodied. Montagne-St Emilion, Bordeaux, France- "Wonderful aromas with blackberries and blueberries and dark chocolate. Full body, with super well integrated tannins and a long finish. Lovely depth of fruit. Chan Buy it Now: $125 22. 2010 Joseph Phelps "Freestone Vineyards" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 94RP, 94WE, 93CG, 92WS, 90ST 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate A bit more layered than the Pastorale, the 2010 Chardonnay Estate Freestone Vineyard caresses the palate from beginning to end. Lemon, pastry, white flowers, crushed rocks and a whisper of French oak all emerge from the glass in the seamless, totally polished Chardonnay. The aromas and flavors remain bright, focused and beautifully articulated from start to finish. This is another fabulous wine from Joseph Phelps. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. (4/ 2013) 94 points Wine Enthusiast Bone dry, minerally and brisk in mouthwatering acidity, this has subtle yet rich flavors of tropical fruit, citrus, green apple and honey. It shows real elegance and complexity; drink now–2016. (10/ 2012) 93 points Connoisseurs Guide *Two stars* Those who doubt that California Chardonnay can rival those from Burgundy when it comes to structure and balance are bound rethink their views when tasting this vibrant, deeply filled bottling. Tight but so very deep and keenly focused on minerals, wonderfully fresh, green-apple fruit and lovely oak spice, the wine is as long on finesse as it is on richness, and it is far from reaching its best. It is, in fact, too young to drink any time soon, and great dividends lie ahead for those who exercise a few years of patience. (8/ 2012) 92 points Wine Spectator Pure, clean and focused on snappy green apple, floral, honeysuckle and mineral flavors. The sheer vibrancy gives this a unique personality, ending with a long, mineral-laced finish. Drink now through 2020. (7/ 2012) 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Bright green-yellow. Vibrant aromas of lime, orange oil and flowers, plus a whiff of brioche. Tactile, juicy and crisp, with strong fruit-driven flavors of green tropical fruits, lemon and pineapple. Very good density and freshness here, but in a cooler style than the 2009 bottling. 27. 2011 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands (Magnum) 91IWC, 90WS Winemaker notes This wine displays deep notes of orange peel, cherries, and five-spice and is supported by hints of ginger, strawberry and rhubarb. The Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is a luscious mouth-filling wine. It is deeply structured with supple tannins centered in the mid-palate. A sweet and sour mix of red and black fruits; penetrating red cherry and blackberry dominate, ending in a clean strawberry and dark cherry finish. 91 Points International Wine Cellar "Full ruby. A powerfully scented bouquet displays smoky black raspberry, cherry, licorice and oak spices. Pliant dark berry flavors gain energy with air, taking a turn to zestier raspberry and bitter cherry. Impressively deep but focused and energetic pinot, with excellent finishing lift and lingering spiciness." 90 points Wine Spectator Gutsy, showing tannic muscle, this offers tidbits of dark berry, grainy and gripping tannins, cedar and crushed rock. This is complete, but should improve with cellaring. Drink now through 2022. It reveals an enticing toasty and nutty character fused with very fragrant floral notes of lilacs accented with chocolate and licorice. Ripe and rich in the mouth, it has a nice structure, medium levels of grainy tannins, concentrated fruit and a long finish with some coffee hints. It is a very good wine that will drink from 2014 to 2022+. (2/ 2013) 92 points Wine Spectator Broad and generous, offering a lavish mouthful of blackberry, pluot, blueberry and mocha flavors that wash over the palate like an incoming tide. This has depth and distinct character, with a seamless finish. Drink now through 2018. (3/ 2013) K&L Notes A blend of 71% Shiraz and 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine was aged in 88% new oak (94% American and 6% French). Krug Grand Cuvee Champagne Wine Spectator 95 points This multivintage blend nails the essence of Krug, intense richness of fruit and flavor without weight. Meaty mushroom and soy aromas are balanced by rich red fruits, citrus, toast and mineral notes. Long finish. Score: 94. —Joe Czerwinski, December 01, 2005. Oddly, the most consistent Krug wine I have been tasting lately is their non- vintage Brut Grand Cuvee, a big, boldly styled Champagne with smoky, earthy, pear, apple, and spicy aromas as well as flavors, loads of effervescence, and fine body and depth. Score: 93. —Robert Parker, December 2005. This is all about balance and the integration of power and finesse, with finely honed acidity supporting flavors of quince paste, dried black cherry, spun honey and candied orange zest, while rich notes of roasted walnut, coffee liqueur and toasted cardamom resonate on the finish. Hard to stop sipping. Drink now through 2028. Donated by Rod and Elsie Nakamoto Buy it Now: $225

Full, fruity, and balanced with a dry, satisfying finish. Donated by Lynn Waggoner Buy it Now: $50 Wine Rules and Restrictions NO WARRANTIES ON WINES Wines are sold as is. We don't replace wines or issue refunds for wine that buyers believe is undrinkable. Buyers should inspect for label condition, bottle fill level, cork condition, and capsule condition. The wine industry estimates that between three (3) and seven (7) percent of all wines sealed with natural corks are ruined because of a natural fungus in corkwood that produces the chemical compound trichloroanisole (“TCA”) within the cork. TCA has a distinctive odor resembling moldy newspaper or a damp basement. In almost all cases of “corked” wine, the aroma of the wine is reduced significantly, and a heavily tainted wine is completely undrinkable.
