« MONACO ART WEEK » from 26 to 29 April 2018 Over the years, the Principality of Monaco has hosted an increasing number of varied artistic events. Home to art galleries and internationally renowned auction houses, it has become an important place in the art world with its fairs, exhibitions and cultural events. Galleries and auction houses established in the Principality have chosen to join forces around the same objective: to promote their rich and diverse activities, and contribute to Monaco’s cultural reach on the local, regional and international scene. The MONACO ART WEEK association is the result of this shared desire. The first event initiated by the association is MONACO ART WEEK. It will take place between 26 and 29 April 2018. All the Principality’s neighbourhoods will be involved in the event, in conjunction with the artmonte-carlo fair at the Grimaldi Forum and Nomad at La Vigie. At the same time, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo and the Festival Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo will reveal their new productions at the Grimaldi Forum. During this bustling period, when Monaco takes centre stage, the intention is to appeal to all those who have come to discover and nourish their passion for the arts, whether they are novices, onlookers or experienced art-lovers.

PIERRE LE-TAN Noir & Blanc 11 Columbia gallery is pleased to present for the second time a solo exhibition of recent works by Pierre Le-Tan. Born in 1950, Pierre Le-Tan is a painter and draftsman. He participates in various exhibitions including the Biennial of Florence and Rome. In 2011, he moved the gallery to the Principality of Monaco where he opened at Park Palace. Iran Contemporain Will be presented by Magic of Persia at The Grimaldi Forum during Art Monte-Carlo The contemporary Iranian art field has been growing in the global scene much faster than ever before. Its evolution in the 21st century is owed to not only the increased number of artists in the homeland and in the diaspora, but also to the Iranian curators and institutes whose involvement in the field have been immeasurable. In collaboration with the Art Monte-Carlo 2018, Magic of Persia (A London-based Art Charity Foundation) will present a panel discussion and an exhibition titled Contemporary Iran. The panel aims to discuss the contemporary condition of Iranian art both locally and globally from various aspects encompassing educational, artistic and economical angles. This exhibition presents a historiographical review of the formation of new art in Iran. The conference will be held on Sunday 29 April at 6p.m. at the Grimaldi Forum.
