Presents ANNUAL EVENT Welcome to the Victory Cup Initiative, the ultimate goodwill event! Your vote and participation today will benefit Central Florida in ways we cannot yet foresee, but can only hope for the possibilities. T H E IN IT IAT I VE The Victory Cup Initiative is equipping select nonprofit organizations with the skills and training to best tell their story. Ten Central Florida nonprofit organizations will receive cash awards ranging from $1,000 to $20,000. As of today, the Victory Cup Initiative has presented a total of $331,500 to nonprofits. Winners will be determined by audience participation. COMM U N IT Y J U D G ES Stewart Moore Stewart Moore co-anchors WESH 2 News at 5 and WESH 2 News at 10 on CW 18. He joined the WESH News team in August of 2011. He is originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina. While at WESH, Stewart has won two Emmy and two Associated Press Awards for his breaking news coverage of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. Lourdes Mola Lourdes Mola, CEO of Lourdes Mola Solutions. Mola is dedicated to the success of business leaders across Central Florida. That extends to her work fostering the talent pipeline, which included bringing one of the largest STEM conferences to Central Florida for two consecutive years. She is known for her talent integrating her love of giving back into her work advising her corporate clients, which has included successful partnerships with Heart of Florida United Way, Feeding America, Second Harvest and so many more. In 2020 she was one of Orlando Magazine’s Women of the Year. Louie Gravance Louie Gravance: Louie Gravance is often referred to as “the guy that can make the Disney service concepts work outside of Disney.” From 1987 to 2014 Louie enjoyed a distinguished career with Disney theme parks, designing everything from live- entertainment experiences to customer service training programs through the Disney Institute in Orlando Florida. Following his hugely effective tenure in Orlando, Gravance left Disney to pursue other opportunities and soon amassed even more success working as a consultant, customer service speaker and corporate culture guru. Louie has designed multi- million-dollar service campaigns for companies such as ING Financial, Choice Hotels, Microbac Technologies, Nikon and The American Council of Independent Laboratories.
E M C E ES Scott Maxwell Scott Maxwell is an acclaimed journalist and author of “Taking Names,” a column for the Orlando Sentinel. Maxwell focuses on the interesting, funny, maddening and crazy things that make Florida, well, Florida. Maxwell came to the Orlando Sentinel in 1998, and began his column in 2002. He has since received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Society of American Business Writers and Editors among others, and has been voted “Best Columnist” by readers of Orlando Magazine, the Orlando Weekly and the Orlando Sentinel. Ashley Vann President of Vann Strategies and founder of the Victory Cup Initiative, Ashley Vann is dedicated to promoting the work of nonprofit organizations in the Central Florida community. Vann’s passion for uniting donors with the causes they care about sparked her idea for the inaugural Victory Cup Initiative. It’s her fortitude, leadership and creativity that continue to drive her philanthropic endeavors. A community steward, Vann is also incredibly passionate about her work with Lift Orlando and volunteer projects associated with Audubon Park School K-8, Brothers Reaching Out, and First United Methodist Church of Winter Park. Ashley is the mother of three children, Louise (15), Brian (12), and Layson (9) and she has been married to Brian Anthony Vann for 18 years.
N O N P R O F ITS In order of presentation 1. The Sharing Center The Sharing Center was founded 35 years ago and remains focused on preventing hunger and homelessness in Seminole County. Over the years, The Sharing Center has shared essential resources, reflecting God’s love, with over 400,000 individuals. 2. Grace Medical Home Grace Medical Home is a nonprofit doctor’s office that serves the low-income, uninsured of Orange County. We care for the medical, dental, nutrition, mental health, and spiritual needs of our patients. Since 2010, Grace has served more than 4,600 patients. 3. Winter Park Day Nursery Winter Park Day Nursery changes young lives, clearing obstacles so success in school, as young adults and in life can be attained. We are a lively, welcoming school for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, where our innovative, nurturing program built on care, love and hope can build up young children and their families. 4. Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras exists to encourage children and young adults, through the practice and performance of orchestral music, to become passionate leaders, thinkers, and contributors in their local community and beyond. FSYO is pleased to be a small part in the development of central Florida’s young people. 5. Lighthouse Works Family Promise of Greater Orlando offers emergency shelter, housing assistance and success coaching to support and empower families as they overcome the crisis of homelessness and achieve sustainable housing and a better future for their children.
6. Libby’s Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation Libby’s Legacy ensures no one fights alone by walking Central Floridians through every part of their journey, from screening through survivor-ship! 7. Adult Literacy League The Adult Literacy League empowers Central Floridians to be thriving members of the community through literacy and education. By offering one-to-one tutoring services and online classes, the League provides a quality, accessible education for all its students. 8. Foundation for Foster Children The Foundation for Foster Children provides funding and personalized support for the unmet needs of foster youth in Central Florida through its core programs: Educate, Enrich, and Empower. These programs provide academic support, access to extracurricular activities, and guidance as foster youth transition to adulthood. 9. Central Florida Community Arts Central Florida Community Arts exists to serve and build community through the arts. With the vision to give everyone in Central Florida the opportunity to connect, serve, and perform, CFCArts strives to create a safe place where the arts are affordable and accessible to all – no one is left behind. 10. OCA - Opportunity, Community, Ability OCA believes in the power a “yes” can bring to children and adults with autism and other special needs, as well as their families. The team puts participants’ abilities first, by meeting each person where they are, maximizing our programs to bring out their strengths, and ultimately, creating greater independence for them.
