ABOUT WE WERE BORN In 1971, we began organizing bilateral exchange programs between German and Argentinean high school students. As time went by, we introduced innovations in the intercultural exchange over and, years later, we founded the first school for teaching Spanish as a foreign language, the second spoken language in the world. SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS Children Day Care Center Cordoba, Argentina A true shelter which also provides daily meals to about 150 children. Besides care and food, the project offers workshops and entertainment, so a helping hand would be of great help. You’ll be able to help in whatever activity you like; taking care of the children and organiz- ing workshops as well as helping in the soup kitchen. Health Centre Cuzco, Peru Do something for the Peruvian society by taking part of this project that aims to provide medical assistance to disadvantaged people in Peru. You’ll be improving their quality of life and actually changing something by giving your support and time. Therapy with Horses Cordoba, Argentina A very exciting project that will allow you to witness the healing powers that the relationship between man and horse have on disabilities. You’ll be working with people of all ages and with different kinds of disabilities such as sensory, motor, psychomotor, and mild to moderate intellectual disability. Educational Volunteer, Assist people with Autism Santiago de Chile, Chile Help the largest institution dedicated to assist people with Autism in Santiago through education, therapeutic services and supporting their families. Teach English in Women’s Refuge Buenos Aires, Argentina Teach English and help with the workshops attended by the teenagers. The most important task is to bond by sharing your culture with the girls and providing support in their daily life. Collaborate in any activity carried out within the Host Organization. NATURE VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS Sea Turtle Conservation Volunteer Quelonios, Costa Rica Lend a hand to conserve our wildlife and natural resources. The main focus of this project is the protec- tion of marine turtles, in particular giant Leatherbacks, Hawksbills and Green Sea turtles, which are threatened with extinction. The project looks for the improvement of quality of life for the local community. Be part of this project and learn new skills while working side-by-side with local and foreign professionals. Volunteer in a Rescue Center Peten, Guatemala Work in direct contact with wild animals that have been unfortunate enough to get caught and are now in pain. You can help to improve their health and to reintegrate them ecosystem they belong. You will have the chance to learn a lot about wild life, make new friends and to do your best for the wellbeing of animals that need to be protected. 19
Volunteer in Southern Right Whale Observatory Puerto Madryn, Patagonia The observatory is located 21 meters above sea level and surrounded by “Las canteras” and “el Doradillo” beaches. This group organices daily maintenance activities for the preserva- tion of the environment and conservation of the species. You will contribute to their conservation. As well, you will be constantly with tourists and visitors who are eager for you help and guidance in this beutiful encounter with the South- ern Right Whales and their calve. Volunteer in Marino Ballena National Park Costa Rica This national park named after the Humpback whales that migrate here each year needs to be protected from natural and anthropogenic threats that hassle the area. It is a unique space on earth in which flora and fauna species are in danger of extinction. You can do a lot to prevent this. Local staff and other international volunteers will welcome you to lend a hand for this national park’s sake. Volunteer at a Local Animal Shelter Cordoba, Argentina Help with all sorts of tasks that keep this center working efficiently to protect abandoned or abused animals in Córdoba. Assist on any of the many areas that this center offers: feeding, healing and treating, repairing, giving advice, promoting adoptions and fund raising events and cleaning. Business Management and Logistics Santiago de Chile, Chile Be the one responsible to represent, coordinate and ensure the client’s interests at different stages of the documentation process of export and shipment in a leading company that provide integrated services to shipping companies as well as exporters and importers, in the whole process of moving cargo through three main areas of business: Port Terminals, Tugs and Logistics. Public Law San Jose, Costa Rica On an Internships in Public Law you will perform tasks related to governing the relationship between individu- als (citizens, companies) and the State; in subdivisions such as constitutional law, administrative law and criminal law. You will be carrying out tasks such as: Legal issues research, assisting in document prepara- tion and case management, collaborating in the mediation between parts and administrative tasks.
